Spoilers for ‘Let’s Meet Again on Christmas Eve’

More often than not, we cross paths with the right people at the wrong time. Lifetime’s romantic holiday movie ‘Let’s Meet Again on Christmas Eve’ brings to us one such story of college sweethearts Corrine (Kyla Pratt) and Rob (Brooks Darnell), who find love only to lose it. But, will the Christmas miracle they find true love once again?

Corrine is a well-established event manager, who has just landed a big project for Christmas. A millionaire couple picks her as their wedding planner, but she only has two weeks until the big day. However, for Corrine, it serves as a good distraction owing to her painful past and memories of one sad Christmas.

The couple tells Corrine that she’ll have to closely work with a wedding photographer they’ve hired to cover their nuptials. Little did Corrine know fate would bring her and her college sweetheart together, that too during Christmas eve. But, Corrine isn’t too thrilled about seeing Rob, for he made her wait for years.

Corrine continues to live with the impression that Rob had moved on after their breakup seven years ago and that is why he never returned to reconcile with her the way they had planned to. However, Rob seems to have perceived everything that unfolded between them differently.

As time progresses and the wedding nears, Rob and Corrine start to grow close to each other, reminding each other of the time when they were head over heels in love. But, Corrine, who is still not over her heartbreak, pushes Rob away unwilling to accept his side of the story. Can Christmas work magic and help them find true love? Will Corrine and Rob look past their flaws and experience love once again?

‘Let’s Meet Again on Christmas’ most skillfully has two opposite characters who are oddly satisfying to watch when they are brought together. The movie’s realistic approach is commendable as it thrives on emotions and logic. The overall story arc is fun and captivating while the chemistry between the two lead characters defines it.

Even though Corrine and Rob’s story headline the romantic film, it has been well-balanced by introducing humor through the other character. The story does slow down after an energetic start but catches on eventually. Meanwhile, Kyla Pratt and Brooks Darnell bring their characters to life gracefully, stretching their acting muscles just enough to not leave with an overdose of holiday romance.

‘Let’s Meet Again on Christmas’ airs on December 5 at 8 pm ET on Lifetime.
