LeBron James couldn't be prouder as he attended his son Bronny's high school basketball game which saw him clinch the MVP trophy.

As California's Sierra Canyon Trailblazers took a first-half lead against his alma mater the St. Vincent-St. Mary Irish on Saturday, the NBA legend was seen jumping up and down yelling tips and encouragement for his son on the sidelines.

The 15-year-old won the most valuable player in front of 13,000 people at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, after scoring 15 points, 7-of-10 from the field finish plus a clutch bucket by the end of the 59-56 game.

James walked halfway on to the court during a timeout and yelled "Let's go! Let's go!" before Bronny eventually stole an inbounds pass to lead his team to a stunning victory at the family's home city of Akron.

"Last night was such a surreal feeling for me!" LeBron, 34, wrote on Instagram alongside images from the game. "For @Bronny to play the best game of his young high school career so far, make the biggest play of the game and to walk away winning the MVP in his/our home state and his family and friends was a storybook moment."

James brought his alma mater St. Vincent-St. Mary Irish to the airwaves of ESPN and pages of Sports Illustrated after leading them to three state titles in four years.

According to the NBA star, his son is still being coached by his mentor, whom he describes as a "father figure, guy who coached and helped guide me throughout my childhood both on and off the floor Coach Dru Joyce II."

James attended the game with his wife, daughter, mother, sister-in-law, father-in-law, cousins, along with several other loved ones. Savannah, his wife, joined him courtside along with childhood friend and business partner Maverick Carter, and former Irish teammate Romeo Travis. While they cheered for their alma mater, they pushed Bronny James as well.

"Here we go young King!" they shouted at the budding basketball star.

LeBron, who flew down from Miami to watch his son play high school ball live for the first time, had decided months ago with Dwyane Wade they would have their sons pair up at Sierra Canyon. The pair had done the same in Miami from 2010 through 2014 -- winning two championships together with the Miami Heat.
