How did Laura Branigan die? Fury erupts as Donald Trump Jr inadvertently makes 'Gloria' 'anthem of insurrection'
The backlash against President Donald Trump continues for his role in inciting the storming of the Capitol building on January 6, 2021, after a new video has leaked showing Trump, his family members and close aides watching supporters at the “Save America” rally hours before it turned into a storming of the US Capitol. In the leaked video, the Trumps are seen hearing 'Gloria' by Laura Branigan, and the Internet wants to know, where the famous '80s singer is now.
A video taken by Trump Jr went viral on Twitter, in which the Trumps seeming watch party, with the Van Morrison song ‘Gloria’ playing in the background while a celebratory Trump Jr praises “patriots who are sick of the bulls**t”. The video features Donald Jr’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle saying she hopes Vice President Mike Pence has “the courage or the brains to do the right thing” and block the confirmation of Joe Biden as president by Congress. It also shows Eric Trump, Donald Jr.’s brother, being congratulated for his birthday that same day. The video does not currently appear on Donald Jr.’s Instagram page. “Guys, getting ready to go out there,” Donald Jr. says on the video, which appears to have been streamed online from his phone during the rally, outside of the White House. “I can’t believe the crowds I’ve seen out there. Literally a hundred thousand people, it’s all the way going to the Washington Monument.” “Just awesome patriots who are sick of the bulls**t,” Donald Jr. said. “So thank you all for that. It’s actually hard to believe.”

In the background, President Trump is seen on the video waiting to go out on stage. Later, during a speech of more than an hour, Trump made false claims about alleged ballot fraud swindling him out of an electoral victory over Biden.
Who was Laura Ann Branigan and where is she now?
Born on July 3, 1952, Laura Ann Branigan's signature song, the platinum-certified 1982 single 'Gloria', stayed on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for 36 weeks, then a record for a female artist, peaking at No. 2. It also stood number one in Australia and Canada. In 1984, she reached number one in Canada and Germany with the U.S. No. 4 hit 'Self Control' She also had success in the UK with both 'Gloria' and 'Self Control' making their names in the top 10 in the UK Singles Chart.
On August 26, 2004, Branigan died at the age of 52, while she was sleeping at her lodge in East Quogue, New York. The cause was linked to the previously undiagnosed ventricular brain aneurysm she was suffering from. It was reported in the media that she had been experiencing headaches for several weeks before her death.
After Trump Jr's video went viral, Kathy Golik, who was Branigan’s manager until her 2004 death, condemned a video seemingly recorded by Donald Trump Jr. showing behind the scenes at the rally with “Gloria” blaring. In a series of tweets, Golik said it was “sad” and “upsetting” to see Branigan’s “beautiful memory & legacy have any association w/ Pres. Trump & such a dark day in US history. Neither Laura nor her music, deserve any unwarranted fallout due to the actions of others.”
She added: "No permission to use "Gloria," nor an endorsement of him, past or present, was granted to Pres. Trump on behalf of Laura or her legacy management company, & we strongly & vehemently DO NOT condone yesterday's events at the Capitol.+~Kathy Golik, Legacy Manager #LauraBranigan #Gloria."
