NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ star Lara Spencer recently celebrated the morning show’s executive producer Simone Swink’s courageous fight against cancer at the annual luncheon of Breast Cancer Alliance in New York City. 

The 54-year-old took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post for Swink with snaps from the luncheon.

Spencer praised Swink for her courage and resilience in fighting the disease and promoted and praised the Breast Cancer Alliance for all the incredible work to make the lives of individuals easier by finding a cure for cancer.

Lara Spencer pays respect to GMA’s executive producer for her fight against cancer

Spencer shared a carousel post consisting of three snaps from the annual luncheon to her Instagram handle.

One of the pictures saw Spencer alongside Swink posing for the cameras at the event as the banner of Breast Cancer Alliance shined at the back.

Spencer also snapped photos with Swink and a few other ‘GMA’ colleagues who were present to support and celebrate Swink’s journey as a cancer survivor.

The 54-year-old also made a speech at the event and shared a snap of her in the moment, talking into the mic on stage.

Later, she went all out in the caption of her Instagram post, showering her love and affection for Swink and the Breast Cancer Alliance foundation.

She wrote, “Some of our GMA team came together today to support and celebrate our executive producer and cancer survivor/thriver Simone Swink at the Breast Cancer Alliance annual luncheon.”

Spencer continued, “SIMONE--your story; your strength--you could hear a pin drop in that room as you spoke. NEVER give up. Never give in”

The mother of two quoted co-star Michael Strahan and said, “As @michaelstrahan told me, he knows the strongest, bravest guys in the NFL-and you could kick all of their asses.”

She concluded with a message of support for the Breast Cancer Alliance and stated, “For anyone looking to contribute to breast cancer research put an end to this disease once and for all--the BCA is doing incredible things to help find a cure and get women the treatment they need. Thank you, BCA.”

Breast Cancer Alliance and fans respond to Lara Spencer’s heartfelt post about GMA’s executive producer

Having witnessed Spencer’s endearing post about them, the Breast Cancer Alliance Foundation left a word of support and praise for the mother of two.

They wrote, “You sure did! What a team at ABC and GMA, what powerful and inspiring stories you and Simone both shared… uplifting, challenging, and the best models of love and support. Beyond grateful to you all for embracing BCA and elevating today.”

Another user wrote, “@lara.spencer what a fantastic and heartfelt speech you shared, and Simone defines inspirational! Ty for your incredible support of @breastcanceralliance.”

“Your incredible advocate gives so much of your time to our community Thank you xx you look stunning,” said another.

A fan wrote, “You were an incredible cheerleader and advocate today. You made me cry.”
