BARCELONA, SPAIN: Ever since the premiere of 'Land of Women,' Gala (Eva Longoria) has faced a series of challenges after her husband, Fred (James Purefoy), took out a $15 million loan and left her to deal with the consequences alone.

In the recent episodes, Gala has been unraveling disturbing clues suggesting that Fred has been having an affair with another woman.

Amid the turmoil of discovering Fred's infidelity and managing the fallout from his actions, Gala begins to develop feelings for Amat (Santiago Cabrera).

After causing significant turmoil in Gala's life, Fred mysteriously disappears, leaving her to manage the fallout from his actions alone.

However, in a surprising turn of events, he unexpectedly shows up at Amat's house to meet Gala in 'Land of Women' Episode 5.

Fred's sudden reappearance raises questions about his intentions. Is he there to apologize, to assert control, or perhaps to manipulate the situation further?

In 'Land of Women' Episode 5, Gala's initial reaction is one of shock, as she navigates the complexities of her feelings for Amat, who has been a supportive presence during her struggles.

Amat wants to protect Gala and support her emotional healing, but Fred's unexpected arrival complicates the dynamics among the three of them.

It seems Fred's arrival might complicate Gala's already precarious situation, especially since she has agreed to repay the debt owed to Tony (Ben Temple), whom Fred borrowed from.

This deal was made in exchange for the safety of her family, adding immense pressure on Gala as she navigates the financial and emotional challenges in La Muga.

Fred only came to La Muga to meet Gala after she agreed to pay off the debt to Tony, which he had incurred.

This highlights that Fred never intended to repay the debt himself. Upon hearing that Gala will take responsibility for it, he sees an opportunity to return and live off her financial efforts.

Fred's return to La Muga appears to be driven by his agenda, possibly influenced by his knowledge of Gala's burgeoning wine business in the area.

It seems Fred wants to capitalize on Gala's financial resources, especially since she revealed to Tony that she owns a farm and is developing a wine business, which allows her to settle the debt.

Fred may aim to exploit Gala's financial situation and then return to the woman with whom he was having an affair.

Will Tony capture Fred?

Tony's men have arrived in La Muga seeking to reclaim the money owed to them. Given that Fred is the one who took the loan, his return to La Muga puts him directly in the line of fire.

If Tony's men catch wind of Fred's whereabouts, they may consider him the primary target for recovering their funds. However, Fred might attempt to evade responsibility or negotiate his way out of the situation.

He may inform Tony's men that Gala will pay off the debt, hoping that this information will persuade them to free him.

By presenting himself as a scapegoat, Fred might attempt to shift the focus away from his responsibilities and onto Gala's commitment, as she promised Tony's men that she would repay the debt.

Gala may find herself alone in facing the mounting pressure of Fred's manipulations and the looming threat from Tony's men.

It will be intriguing to see how Gala confronts the escalating crisis in 'Land of Women' Episode 6
