Lance Armstrong has finally exchanged wedding vows with his longtime fiancée, Anna Hansen in a private ceremony in France. The pair tied the knot in Château La Coste in France five years after they revealed their engagement.

The 50-year-old former professional cyclist posted a number of images from his wedding at Château La Coste, an Aix-en-Provence wedding destination, on Instagram on August 9, Tuesday. He referred to his wedding as the "best day ever" in the post's description and gushed about how wonderful it was to have his and Hansen's children present there.

The newly-married couple, who originally became engaged in 2017, have a 13-year-old son named Max and an 11-year-old daughter named Olivia. Armstrong is also the father of Luke, 22, and the twin daughters Isabelle and Grace, both of whom are 20 years old, from his first marriage to Kristin Richard.

On his Instagram post, Armstrong included the adorable caption that read, "Married the love of my life @annahansenarmstrong. So special having our kids there as well. It was an evening full of laughter and plenty of joyful tears."

"Anna, you have been my absolute rock the past 14 years and let me be clear, I would not have survived them without you," Armstrong added. "I am so proud of the couple we have become—it took us doing the work, the really hard work, and I am so glad that we did. I love you immensely and will always be here for you and our family."

Armstrong ended his beautiful post by wishing everyone well and wrote, "Hope you are all having an excellent summer. I sure as hell am." Anna Hansen, who is now addressed as Anna Hansen Armstrong, shared a glimpse of the celebrations that followed the wedding on her Instagram Stories. In one image, a cup of cappuccino had foam on it that said, "Anna & Lance." She referred to it as "the perfect elopement" in her adorable post she shared on August 9.

Besides that, less than nine months have passed since Anna first disclosed that she and Lance, who started dating in 2008, were celebrating a significant turning point in the athlete's life: Lance's testicular cancer diagnosis was made 25 years ago, in October.

"I'm honored to be a part of this journey with you babe," she wrote in the caption of an Instagram image from October 2021. "Today we celebrate you, we honor our friends who ran out of time in their own battles, and we salute all of you survivors and their loved ones who are still battling, putting one foot in front of the other each day. My heart is for all of you today. I couldn't be prouder to stand by your side."
