Lamorne Morris reveals to Jimmy Kimmel his first meeting with Jon Hamm while on mushrooms: 'I literally met Satan'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lamorne Morris shared a rather unexpected encounter involving Jon Hamm while appearing on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'.
The actor disclosed that he met Hamm at a gathering hosted by Dave Chappelle after mistakenly consuming hallucinogenic mushrooms, leading to a surreal experience where he mistook his fellow Fargo actor for the Devil.
During his conversation with Jimmy Kimmel, Morris clarified that he typically abstains from drugs but, on this particular occasion, he unintentionally ingested mushrooms, thinking they were a type of seasoning.

As he arrived at Chappelle’s event, the realization dawned on him that the mushrooms were a big mistake.
"I walk in and I'm like, 'Damnit, I shouldn't have ingested those shrooms accidentally, because in this room are some of my favorite people — my idols,'" Morris recounted.
"I'm sitting next to Jon Hamm and I'm clearly the high one in the room. I'm clearly just, like, out of my mind because I'd never done it before, and I'm sweating and I'm being weird. I'm plum-dumb at this point."
Attempting to assist Morris during his trip, Hamm suggested that he should drink some water. However, Morris, in his altered state, misinterpreted Hamm's advice in a distorted, demonic tone and believed Hamm to be the Devil himself.
From 'Vision Quest' to 'Fargo' collaboration
"I literally just met Satan," Morris exclaimed, recounting his perceived encounter.
Convinced that Hamm tried to drown him with water, Morris wandered off into the forest and spent a few hours by a tree, a decision Kimmel jokingly credited to Hamm sending Morris on a 'vision quest'.
Despite this peculiar introduction, Morris and Hamm later collaborated on the set of 'Fargo' Season 5, where Morris portrayed North Dakota Dep Witt Farr and Hamm played North Dakota Sheriff Roy Tillman.
Reflecting on the filming experience in the chilly Calgary weather, Morris humorously contrasted his extensive attire with actress Juno Temple's carefree approach, prompting him to reconsider his response to the cold.
