Did Lady Gaga mock Kim Kardashian via her vote-plea looks? Internet goes gaga over singer's 'hilarious dig'
As Lady Gaga drags up for Halloween, she is also taking this opportunity to encourage people in a way that will get them to vote. In an Instagram post, the ‘Paparazzi’ hitmaker sported three voting looks with the background score of her and Blackpink's collab from the ‘Chromatica’ album, ‘Sour Candy’.
First up Lady Gaga wears a gray Blackpink teeshirt and a dragged up gas mask blinking the letters "VOTE" and pink cones poking out of it. The next look is what we believe a harmless dig at Kim Kardashian as she wears biker shorts and a sports bra in dark beige (one of the staple colours of the Kardashians) with a badge that says, "Voted" and large black sunnies. With a big hand bag in her right arm she has the caption, “to influence you” in the background. This look was a dig at the queen of influencers Kim Kardashian as we can see the ‘Judas’ singer has stuffed her shorts to make her rear end bigger to match Kim’s voluptuous body.
The last last look was very much her own aesthetic as she wears a white crop top with over the top, puffed up sleeves highlighting the word "Vote" again in big black letters paired with a perfectly tailored pair of trousers and a belt. The words, “To get out and vote” appear in the background. The ‘Poker face’ singer captioned the video writing, “I hope this Halloween I’m influencing you... to GET TO THE POLLS!! Use this audio and show me how you’re going to #ServeThePolls and visit gettothepolls.com to get more info on how to vote!” The official instagram handle of MTV commented, “I will pay you so much money (me as an individual, not mtv) for that mask.” While another instagram user quite accurately wrote, “GAGA PRESIDENT PLEASE.”
‘A star is born’ actor’s attempt at making the people of America vote worked. One user said, “My family never VOTED before actively as this year! I made them vote cause of you! We all voted.” Another fan almost died at Lady Gaga’s three looks they wrote, “SHE IS READY TO KILL ALL OF US OMG SOUR CANDY? BLACKPINK TSHIRT? I'M NOT GONNA SURVIVE.”
Tagging Kim Kardashian in the comment section, one fan wrote, “Lady's hilarious dig at @kimkardashian Hilarious!” Another fan was also quick to notice the similarities between Lady Gaga’s second outfit to Kim Kardashian’s style as she wrote, “who felt the @kimkardashian i invited everyone to a private island vibe?” Another curious fan asked, “Is this costume of kim kardashian? did u vote kanye?” We are not sure if that’s what the ‘Born this way’ was inclining on.
