Kylie Jenner denies intentionally slashing price of Jordy Lip Kit after Tristan Thompson cheating scandal
Kylie Jenner has broken her silence and spoken out about her former BFF, Jordyn Woods, for the first time since the model was accused of having an affair with Khloe Kardashian's baby-daddy, Tristan Thompson.
During an interview with The New York Times, the makeup mogul was asked if she purposely slashed the price of Jordy Lip Kit, named after her former friend and collaborator, in the wake of the alleged hook-up with her sister's boyfriend.
"That is just not my character. I would never do something like that and when I saw it, I was like, thrown back," Kylie confessed.
After the scandal broke out the lip gloss and liner item had been discounted from $27 to $13.50, and fans took it as a major shade that Kylie was throwing at Jordyn.
"This shade smells like betrayal," the comments read and another even wrote, "be mindful of the shade as wearing it may lead to biting the hand that feeds you."
The product soon ran out of stock and other Kylie Cosmetics products also saw increases in sales.
Throughout the interview, Jenner maintained that she was not aware that Jordy Lip Kit had been discounted when she was first notified about the sale.
It was only after talking with an employee that she learned that the sale had been put into play weeks earlier because of the company's switch from white to black packaging.
"Jordyn knows I didn’t actually put it on sale," the 21-year old lip kit mogul stated.
According to various reports, Kylie has had limited contact with her best friend since the cheating scandal surfaced. People reported a source saying; "Kylie has had a rough few weeks. She is still upset about the Jordyn situation, although she seems to be doing much better."
Earlier in March, Jordyn Woods appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith's Facebook Watch show, 'Red Table Talk', and claimed that she did not have any kind of affair or hook-up with the NBA player.
"I’m no home wrecker," Woods said. "I would never try to hurt someone’s home, especially someone that I love. And someone that I’ve seen — has a beautiful daughter. I never was trying to steal someone’s man."
The fallout led to the Kardashian clan unfollowing the 21-year-old model and Khloe Kardashian blaming her for breaking up her family, but later she retracted her statement.
