Kylie Jenner denies claims after trolls accuse her of wearing 'lash extensions' while promoting mascara line
HIDDEN HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Kylie Jenner has announced the debut of Kylie Cosmetics' first mascara. The joyful news was shared on Instagram by the model turned business tycoon, only to be met with condemnation from followers who called her out for donning false eyelashes while advertising a "VOLUME MASCARA."
When Kylie Cosmetics debuted in 2014, she sold out of the brand's trademark lip packages in less than a minute. The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashian' star has since extended the brand's makeup line to include eye, cheek, and lip products. However, for the first time since the brand's inception, Kylie Cosmetics is experimenting with makeup. Kylie recently shared her plan to investigate the world of lash maintenance via Instagram, "first everrrrrr MASCARA. I can’t wait to share it with you. Coming April 6 to KylieCosmetics.com," she gushed. Kylie's silhouette was enveloped in darkness, while lighting illuminated a mascara wand in her palm and her fluffy lashes, in the post. However, 'The Kardashians' star has remained tight-lipped about what we can anticipate from the makeup in terms of composition, price, and wand technology. But we do know that the container is pink and that the product is named KyLash Volume Mascara.

'Girl u already wearing lashes cmonn'
The mascara claims "volumised, fuller, beautiful lashes, no matter your lash type," according to the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram page. According to the company, the mascara provides "instant volume that lasts all day," and "KYLASH lifts and enhances lashes on the first swipe, providing multidimensional definition and giving you a perfect full, fanned out lash." According to the marketing pictures published so far, this mascara will mimic the full fluffy lashes that we've grown acclimated to seeing adorn Kylie's makeup looks.
Given the brand is heavy on promoting the product that guarantees to add volume to the lashes, fans were quick to call out the model for posing with fake lashes. One person commented under her post, "False lashes hey kyleeeew😍😂." Another person added, "take the lash extensions off first." Another fan sighed, "Girl u already wearing lashes cmonn." Failing to find a differentiation for the product, a fan wrote, "Because we need another mascara that does the same thing 🔥."
One observer noted, "You’re trying so hard to have sanpaku eyes😭." Calling her out on the excessive shipping charges, a fan wrote, "with $32 international shipping fee. no thanks."
Model denies claims
Seeing a plethora of comments call out the model for donning fake eyelashes, Kylie chose to reply to one of the comments that asked, "Do you have lash extensions on in this picture?" She responded, "i don’t !!!! 🖤."
However, fans are not ready to buy it. Replying to Kylie's comment, a fan wrote, "girl don’t you lie like that xD." Another person added, "liaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr 🌚." Comments on the post have been since limited.
In any case, Kylie Cosmetics' devoted admirers are keeping their eyes firmly fixed on April 6th — they think the brand may have another best-seller on their hands.
