One of Instagram's highest-paid celebrities, Kylie Jenner — who is the founder and owner of cosmetic company Kylie Cosmetics — came under the scanner recently after she shared a picture on social media. The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star, who is known for influencing fans with her stunning style sense, was slammed for not promoting a Black fashion label. Yes, you heard that right.

It all started when Kylie shared a string of pictures in a mustard-brown one-shoulder dress on Instagram. Soon, the pictures started floating all around Twitter with many calling her out for not giving due credit to a Black fashion brand. It started with a thread that read: "Kylie Jenner is refusing to tag the designer of the dress she just posted, which is a black-owned brand, and now limiting her comments. @LoudBrndStudios is the designer!"

The 22-year-old beauty then shared the tweet and responded: "Ok this is just a reach. why would I ever REFUSE to tag a brand and block comments? This is completely false. I think this brand is amazing and I wanted to show support and will continue to do so. everyone go check out @LoudBrndStudios." Her tweet attracted many eyeballs and soon collected over 9,700 retweets and comments along with 60,000 likes.

Soon, Twitter was bombarded with a string of tweets on how Twitter actually bullied Kylie into promoting the Black-owned business. "Y’all bullied Kylie into giving a black-owned business a million dollar promo I love black twitter," one said and another posted, "As IG's biggest influencer, Kylie's page is a diamond mine, if she puts your brand on it, it should even enter your portfolio & she just did that for free cos of Internet pressure. Sigh!" One tweet read: "What happened to Kylie Jenner was bullying. No one owes you free promo especially if their platform is usually paid for. Absolutely ridiculous."

Defending her stance, one fan said, "Dude her kid is half Black. People are trying too damn hard to drive this narrative now when they don’t need to be trying so hard. Focus on the real issues stop reaching," while another posted, "The designer isn't mad tho, I don't get why everyone is getting mad for her lol." Another said, "No one should be pressured like this. All y’all are bullies behind keyboards."

One said, "This is ridiculous, you don't have any obligation to acknowledge any brand unless you have a deal with them, and for people to make a big thing out of this because it happens to be a black business owned company, I'm pretty sure you have no prejudices there, people are bored." Another posted, "She didn’t need to Tag them, she’s not advertising for them and there’s no partnership, I’m sure she paid for the dress but y’all will use anything to divert attention from the actual BLM movement."
