Kumail Nanjiani shows off ripped body in shirtless photo from Eternals training and the Internet can't handle it
It's not easy to attain a build worthy of a superhero, but with a little determination, anyone can do it. Well, determination and a year of work with the best nutritionists and trainers that Marvel money can buy should also do the trick! Kumail Nanjiani, known more for his comedy than his washboard abs, shared a picture of his new, ripped body on Instagram in preparation for his role on Marvel's 'Eternals.' He posted the pictures with a note pointing out that he "would not have been able to do this if I didn’t have a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the biggest studio in the world." His pictures have taken the Internet by surprise, and fans everywhere are sharing their positive reactions to the new pictures.
The internet is quite used to hot pictures of shirtless men, but nobody expected one to be coming from Nanjiani. "'I'm in pretty good shape, but I'm not Kumail Nanjiani ripped or anything' Something I just said to a very confused person who hasn't been on social media today," said one user on Twitter. Another user tweeted "Looks like Kumail Nanjiani has been on that Marvel super soldier serum." "I didn’t believe I’d ever say this sentence, but Kumail Nanjiani is my fitness goals?" said another.
This is not the first time that a comedic actor has taken the internet by surprise with what looks like a complete body transformation - Chris Pratt surprised fans too, when preparing for his role as Peter Quill on 'Guardians of the Galaxy.'
"Kumail Nanjiani has out-Pratted Chris Pratt in terms of most surprising gains reveal," says one tweet. "First Chris Pratt got jacked and now Kumail Nanjiani? As a solid 6/10 dude leaning heavily on a sense of humor this trend is very troubling," worries this one user.
Nanjiani will be playing the role of Kingo on 'Eternals' - though the comics version is a Japanese samurai, meaning Marvel is taking a somewhat different approach to the character. Nevertheless, with this new body, people might want to think twice before taking him on in a fight.
