Kourtney Kardashian reveals children Mason, 10, and Penelope, 7, already have nightly skincare routines, divides internet

While some thought she was instilling the routine on her kids while they were too young, others were of the opinion that it was appropriate for the eldest Kardashian sister to teach her kids about their own skin.

Kourtney Kardashian recently revealed that her 10-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter were already into skincare which included facials and face masks and social media users have mixed feelings about it.

During a Harper’s Bazaar video titled 'Go To Bed With Me' on December 17, the 40-year-old 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star revealed her nighttime skincare routine and also stressed the importance of taking care of oneself.

“My mom [Kris Jenner] has always instilled in us self-care and taking care of ourselves,” the mother-of-three explained in the clip. “[She] always taught us, from young kids, when you get out of the shower, you put on lotion. She taught us how to shave our legs.”

She went onto reveal that she had taken a leaf out of Kris Jenner's book of motherhood and had also tried to instill the same values to her kids which meant that her daughter Penelope has become an expert on how to give facials. "She loves to give me facials,” Kourtney said. “She’s watched me her whole life with taking care of my skin and we get our hair and makeup done almost every day for filming the show.”

As for Mason, he was also not far off when it came to learning from his mother on how to take care of his skin. “I just went through a whole skincare routine with him,” she said about Mason in the video.

“We started, we did a mask, we did everything, we wrote down all the steps and we put it in his drawer in his bathroom and he loves to do it and feel like he’s taking care of his skin. It’s an important thing to teach girls and boys.”

Twitter was split when it came to Kourtney teaching her kids skincare routines. While some thought she was instilling the routine on her kids while they were too young, others were of the opinion that it was appropriate for the eldest Kardashian sister to teach her kids about their own skin.

“I think it’s wonderful that her child is learning self care so young. It’ll also help prevent acne during those teen years when hormones dictate everything,” one fan wrote, while a second commented, “Well let’s be honest, he (Mason) has one because you’ve obviously told him to and provided the stuff."
