Is 'I Live Alone' star Sung Hoon really dating Park Na-rae? Reps say he would like to have a girlfriend
South Korean actor Sung Hoon of 'New Tales of Gisaeng' and 'My Secret Romance' fame has sparked a flurry of dating rumors after a recent interview where he chose to remain tight-lipped on his current relationship status.
Hoon was previously linked to his 'I Live Alone' co-star and popular comedian Par Na-rae after he was seen helping her out at the 2019 MBC Entertainment Awards in December by holding the train of the actress' dress as she walked. While some thought it was simply an act of kindness, others speculated if there was something more going on between the two.
But dating rumors surrounding the actor went into overdrive after an interview Hoon did with a YouTube channel called “Reporter Eun’s LIT NEWS”.
When the interviewer brought up the dress incident, stating “There was even talk about the two of you being a couple,” Hoon simply dismissed the notion with a laugh, saying “that’d be unlikely.” He added, “I firmly believe in not going public with my relationships, but if I end up getting caught dating somewhere, without my planning it, and I have to talk about it personally—then I’ll talk about it here, on [this YouTube channel].”
But when further asked about his current relationship status, the former swimming champion simply said “No comment.” And naturally, most thought that meant that he was, in fact, dating someone. Hoon's label has clarified, however, that the actor was simply joking. In a statement released through a label representative, he has tried clearing the air. The representative said "Sung Hoon does not have a girlfriend currently. He says he would like to have one though. The reason he said 'No comment' was to respond to the question in a joking manner."
Hoon was last seen in the 2019 romantic comedy 'Level Up' starring opposite Han Bo-reum. He is currently in the process of choosing his next project for the second half of 2020 following 'I Live Alone'.
