Kobe Bryant memorial: Beyonce performs NBA legend’s favorite song ‘XO’ and ‘Halo’ as the crowd sings along

The memorial service for Kobe and Gianna Bryant started with Beyonce performing "Kobe's favorite song", 'XO'. She said, "I’m here because I love Kobe" and asked the guests at the LA Staples Center to join in with her, for it to be loud enough to reach Kobe and Gianna. The performance of this song was followed by 'Halo'.

Fans also said that Beyonce was killing it! One fan wrote, "Beyonce is straight up killin it right now #KobeFarewell." Some fans also said that the memorial started on an emotional note with Beyonce's performance. A fan wrote, "I can’t watch this memorial. Following the performance, the memorial saw clips of Kobe put together with inspiring words by Kobe. While the video was being played, Vanessa and daughters were in tears and fans are in for an emotional memorial service. A fan observed, "Omg Vanessa Bryant and her daughters crying while watching clips of Kobe loudly crying face my heart."

Following this, the memorial saw Jimmy Kimmel come on stage to speak about Kobe, Gianna and the others killed in the helicopter crash on January 24.
