'Wish you were here': Kirstie Alley's daughter Lillie pays heartfelt tribute to mom on her 72nd birthday
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Following the death of Kirstie Alley over a month ago, her daughter Lillie Price Stevenson has paid tribute to her mother on what would have been her 72nd birthday. She had posted some older black and white photos of her mother, where she is seen posing for the camera. In the photographs, Alley can be seen posing in a strapless top.
In one of the photos, Alley stares at the camera with her hair down and her arm placed on her head, while in another, she looks straight at the camera, sitting up straight. In the third and fourth photos, she is seen looking off into the distance with her hair in a ponytail, smiling. According to People, Alley is survived by her two children, Lillie Price Stevenson and William True Stevenson, whom she had with her ex-husband Parker Stevenson.

The photos were posted along with the caption that read, “Happy birthday mama, wish you were here.” This post comes a month after Alley’s children had announced her death in a joint statement. Alley died after privately battling colon cancer. She had been receiving treatment at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, before her death.
The joint statement by her children was posted on Alley’s Instagram page. It read, “To all our friends, far and wide around the world…We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered. She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother. We are grateful to the incredible team of doctors and nurses at the Moffitt Cancer Center for their care.”
The statement further went on to read, “Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did. We thank you for your love and prayers and ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time. With love always, True and Lillie Parker.”
