Kirk is allegedly a 'molester'

YouTuber Armon Wiggins shared a video on Thursday, March 18, 2021, in which he revealed a "receipt" he got where someone, who said his name is "Kerrion," referred to Kirk as his "molester." The audio was recorded at a hostel in Los Angeles during 2020 Christmas Day, according to the information Armon received from his source.

In the leaked audio, during a conversation with his friends, Kerrion claimed that he's the son of a "famous person." Later, when Kirk's music was played, he said, "Thanks for playing my molester's music." Armon did, however, add a disclaimer to his video saying that all claims are "alleged."

Repeated denials

While there are no comments on this latest leak, in an interview with Tamron Hall where he appeared with his wife Tammy, Kirk publicly addressed his relationship with his 33-year-old son for the first time since the video was shared. He had previously taken to Instagram to issue an apology.

During the interview, he spoke about the challenges of their "toxic, challenging, turbulent relationship" and how it was evident early on that there was a need for "deeper help". “Now that he’s about to be 33, as a grown man, the relationship at times can become very agitated and very frustrated…but I’m not going to stop trying to help,” Kirk said. “He’s my son, he’s my firstborn, and I never want him to feel what I felt not having a father…It’s important for me because what if that call is the call that things change.” He had even assured viewers that there has been no physical or parental abuse.

In the Instagram video he shared, Kirk apologized saying, "Recently, my son and I had an argument that he chose to record. I felt extremely disrespected in that conversation and I lost my temper, and I said words that are not appropriate. I am sincerely sorry to all of you, I sincerely apologize."

Abusive phone calls

Kerrion had previously leaked a phone call conversation with his award-winning gospel singer father, in which Kirk can be heard hurling the n-word at his son. The conversation happened during an ugly family argument and the video also includes, among other threats made by Kirk, "I will break yo neck [expletive]." Kerrion defended leaking the phone call, saying, "He got the recordings I didn't record him without him knowing he knows I'm always recording and still provokingly talks to me wild very often too often."

'Situation is getting worse by the day'

Many took to social media to share their anger about the recent events of the Franklin family. "This Kirk Franklin situation is getting worse by the day, now there are molestation allegations from Kerrion. If it’s true, it wouldn’t be the first time a gospel artist has done this. Remember James Cleveland?" one tweeted. "TW/ molestation so apparently kirk franklin molested his son. i’m disgusted omg hold on i’m gonna post what i saw," another shared when sharing Armon's video.
