Internet slams Kim Kardashian's SKIMS pop-up shop at iconic Rockefeller Center, calls it 'embarassing'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS just opened a pop-up in New York City on Tuesday, May 16, at Channel Gardens in Rockefeller Center which will run till May 29, 2023. The fashion mogul announced the news on Twitter and wrote, “The @SKIMS Summer Pop-Up Shop is now open at @rockcenternyc! Stock up on signature swim, lounge and foundations just in time for summer while enjoying exclusive sweet treats.” And also mentioned that fans can visit the shop from Monday to Friday between10 am and 8 pm and on Sundays from 10 am to 7 pm.
The official Instagram page of Rockefeller Center too posted a picture of Kim announcing the news. Kim, who was wearing wearing pink heels, an unzipped black Skims swimsuit with a pair of black pants, was seen standing in front of a light blue building with Skims written on top of it. However, many were left upset. One wrote, “DISRESPECTFUL TO THE PUBLIC SPACE.” Another commented, " Not here in NY!!!!! And definitely not at the Rockefeller plaza, such an iconic place." One more expressed, "This is bad rep for such iconic building!"

The rage continued with one writing, "So disappointing, 5th Ave please stay classy." Another said, "Why on earth would one of the most iconic places in such an iconic city deal with that douche or anyone in that fake hideous family! Come on @rockefellercenter you could do better business with almost anyone else." One more wrote, "Whyyyyyyy would you allow this?" Many also commented on a video shared by Rockefeller Center that gave a glimpse of the swimwear to shapewear collection, their Sport Swim Bag. One of many called it "embarrassing," while another asked, "Why on earth?"
