Kim Kardashian spends a day with inmates locked in solitary confinement at Pelican Bay State Prison
CRESCENT, CALIFORNIA: After clearing her 'baby bar' law exam in 2021, Kim Kardashian continues to show her determination in reforming the prison system in America. The star, 42, visited the Pelican Bay State Prison in Crescent, California earlier last week where she came face-to-face with solitary inmates. This comes as solid confirmation that the reality TV personality is highly passionate about her interest in this area, as per reports.
According to TMZ's sources, Kim spent a day at the prison where she met inmates in solitary confinement and spoke vividly about the impact the lockup can have on their mental stability. The SKIM founder was accompanied by actor Tobey Maguire and the executive producer of 'The Hangover' movie franchise Scott Budnick on her trip. The trio also had a camera crew with them, indicating a documentary in progress. Budnick previously released a documentary on teenagers in the prison system in 2016. Kim, who reportedly pulled up in her custom private jet at the prison, was also spotted engrossed in a deep talk at a restaurant near Pelican Bay on the very same day.

While the Kardashians are consistently criticized for being dumb-witted and bratty, it appears that Kim might be the first from the influential sister clan willing to change that belief. The social media influencer is currently working hard to pass the California Bar exam in order to become an attorney. She previously cleared her 'baby bar' exam in 2021 after four attempts. Passing the test allows the star to sit for the full bar exam and continue her legal studies. “OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!!” she tweeted at the time, alongside photos of herself posing in an electric blue jumpsuit. “For anyone who doesn’t know my law school journey, know this wasn’t easy or handed to me.”
Moreover, she also helped Tennessee inmate Cyntoia Brown secure clemency and played a key role in freeing inmates like Matthew Charles and Jeffrey Stringer, as per the outlet. Kim and her legal team have also helped in the release of 17 prisoners over the span of three months.
