Kim Kardashian slammed for wanting 'break' from parenting amid lockdown as Kanye West takes children on a trip
Rapper Kanye West revealed that he gave his wife Kim Kardashian a break from their four children last week.
The 42-year-old reportedly took their children — North, 6; Saint, 4; Chicago, 2; and Psalm, 1 — to his massive ranch in Cody, Wyoming. Kim had recently talked about the difficulties of homeschooling and keeping the children entertained while they remain in quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A source said, "It’s a huge chaos with all the kids at home. Kanye escapes to his office for a work break. He also let Kim have a break last week when he took some of the kids to Wyoming."
"They have been taking turns caring for the kids," the source told People.
Fans and followers were not on board with this and took to Twitter to slam Kim and Kanye for wanting to take breaks from their children. A few others had an issue with the fact that they were not following the 'stay at home' order due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
One user wrote, "God forbid she should have to parent her kids," while a second chimed in, "Shouldn’t surprise anyone since she can’t parent more than 5 mins." A third added, "If she wants a break, don't have so many kids. Simple. She chose that life. AND I'm sure she's got an endless list of helpers. Give US a break."
"Tough thing when YOU have to actually raise and tend to the kids YOU chose to bring into this world! Welcome to the world of the average person — I’ve been doing it solo for 19 years. Like most of us, I know I have much bigger worries than 'needing a break'," wrote another.
Some fans commented about the family's disregard for rules about staying home and indoors amid the pandemic. One user shared, "Obviously, people are not supposed to be engaged in non-essential travel right now. The majority of the country is under stay-at-home orders. But in all their privilege, I guess @kanyewest thinks this doesn’t apply to his family."
"I'm sure Wyoming is grateful for the tourism. I guess the stay at home order doesn't apply if you own a private jet," commented another user.
Kim recently spoke to Vogue and said that their theater room is the go-to place for their children. She shared, "That's the place that has gotten the most use lately. The whole family has spent the last few nights in there after the kids made it into a fort, with, like, different beds all over the floor."
"My daughter is the fort police. If you move out of your bed that she designated for you, it's a problem," she added. We had earlier shared that Kim had posted a selfie with the caption, "I miss glam". Kim had taken to her Instagram handle to share a stunning selfie on April 21 and had captioned the image saying that she misses her more glamorous times.
In the picture, Kim is seen looking at the camera with a lot of makeup on her face. Many of her fans and followers took offense to her caption and reminded her that the world is gripped by a pandemic and people are dying.
