Kim Kardashian, Kanye West receive warning for animal harassment after video shows them speeding past antelopes in Wyoming
Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West reportedly received a warning against animal harassment after a video showed the 42-year-old rapper driving alongside American antelopes in Wyoming.
The 38-year-old reality TV star was seen in the video shared last weekend rebuking her husband for "scaring" the pronghorns as he reportedly sped past them, TMZ reports.
Wyoming, where the famous couple bought a ranch, has laws that prohibit animal harassment, and that includes chasing antelopes in a car, according to the Wyoming Game & Fish Department.
A spokesperson for the department told the outlet Friday that they met with the manager of Kanye's ranch to ask them about the footage and advise them about the laws in the state.
TMZ learned from a source close to Kim and Kanye that the couple were, in fact, simply driving along when the animals came running past them, denying that they were chasing them.
According to the source, Kanye slowed down after the video ended and let the antelopes move on. That said, there is no formal complaint filed against the couple, which means there will be no formal probe into the incident.
The publication noted that Kim and Kanye could be given a $435 fine if a formal complaint was lodged against them.
The celebrated duo have four children between them, namely North, Saint, Chicago, and newborn Psalm.
Earlier this year, Kim and Kanye celebrated five years of wedded bliss and recently raised speculation they were moving from their Southern California enclave to a secluded ranch retreat in Wyoming.
The countryside ranch, recently purchased by West, has seen the family spend a number of adventurous holidays. Recently, the family held a cookout underneath the stars.
Kim is currently studying for the California bar exam while fulfilling her maternal duties. At the same time, she is filming her reality TV show and running multiple ventures including KKW beauty and her widely discussed SKIMS shapewear line.
