Kanye West says his 'soul hurts' when Kim Kardashian looks too sexy as he disapproves of her 'underwear-style' Met Gala dress
Kim Kardashian fought with husband Kanye West after he voiced last-minute disapproval over his wife's Met Gala dress, which was draped over an "underwear"-like corset.
The 38-year-old reality star, who spent eight months perfecting her Thierry Mugler look for the prestigious event in New York City back in May, was already visibly stressed when the 42-year-old rapper frowned at the underwear style of her dress at her final fitting.
On Sunday's episode of 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians,' Kanye said that Kim's impossibly tight corseted look, which prevented her from sitting down or going to the bathroom, was discomfiting for him at the moment when he was transitioning from being a single guy to a married man.
"I just made this transition from being a rapper, looking at all these girls, looking at my wife," he said. "Like, 'Oh, my girl needs to be like the other girls, showing her body off.' I didn't realize that that was affecting my soul and my spirit as someone that's married and loved, and the father of now, what—about to be four kids?"
Although the couple was just days away from welcoming their fourth child, Psalm, via a surrogate, the KKW beauty mogul had said that the Costume Institute Gala was so important to her that she was even to miss her child's brth, if need be. So naturally, when her husband criticized her look, Kim could not hold back her anger anymore.
"So the night before the Met, you're gonna come in here and say that you're not into a corset bust?" she snapped back. "I'm getting really bad anxiety. What are you talking about? I don't need any more negative energy for you to now say that you're not into me in a tight dress."
Kanye tried to explain what he meant, saying, "You are my wife, and it affects me when pictures are too sexy."
However, Kim was not having any of it as she refused to be brought down by her husband's criticisms. "You built me up to be this sexy person and confidence and all this stuff," Kim pointed out. "And just because you're on a journey and you're on a transformation doesn't mean that I'm in the same spot with you."
