Kim Kardashian, Kourtney and Kris Jenner hand out Thanksgiving meals at food bank after food fight fiasco on KUWTK
The Kardashian clan is really embracing the season of giving after being slammed for their food fight on their reality TV show 'Keeping Up with The Kardashians'.
The Kardashian sisters, 39-year-old Kim and 40-year-old Kourtney, were seen along with momager Kris Jenner and her boyfriend Corey Gamble at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank on Saturday, November 23.
The family was seen handing out food for Thanksgiving meals as Kris shared many images of their efforts at the event on social media. The family's philanthropic efforts came after the backlash that ensued post their food fight on their series 'Keeping Up with The Kardashians'.
The 64-year-old momager shared, "As we head into the holiday season, it's a reminder to be thankful for all of our blessings and I’m so grateful. It’s important to me and my family to give back. Everyone can get involved by checking out your local food banks and lending support!"
At the event, Kim was seen sporting a long-sleeved black dress and had her long locks side parted. Kris, on the other hand, was seen sporting a red satin coat that featured large gold buttons over a black top and a pair of black pants.
Roger Castle, who is the food bank's chief development officer, went on to thank the Kardashian clan for their work and help.
"We genuinely appreciate the Kardashian Jenner family for providing Thanksgiving meals to more than 100 families that face food insecurity in our community, for volunteering to distribute the food personally and for raising valuable awareness for our mission to end hunger in Los Angeles County," Castle told People.
Just last month Kim spoke to E!News and said that she had made it a priority to teach her children charitable values.
She shared, "We definitely have open conversations with our kids all the time about the work that we do and how important it is to be sympathetic and emphatic to people and their families of what they're going through and we explain to our kids how blessed they are."
