Video shows SUV with a BODY inside being pulled out of lake near where Kiely Rodni went missing

'This afternoon, we were notified by volunteer search group Adventures with Purpose they have found a car and a body in the Prosser Reservoir,' cops said

TRUCKEE, CALIFORNIA: A video showed the moment an SUV was pulled from Prosser Lake that reportedly also contained a body. A Search & Recovery Dive Team took out the car matching the description of Kiely Rodni’s vehicle – a 2013 silver Honda CRV – on which she left the Prosser Family Campground’s party on August 6 around 12.30 am. The footage showed a group of people working to get the vehicle out while tarps were seen at the scene to cover it.

On Sunday, August 21, Adventures With Purpose confirmed the news on its Facebook account, “WE JUST FOUND KIELY RODNI... 🙏🏻😭. Car is upside down in only 14' of water. We have CONFIRMED Kiely is inside. Family Notified Law Enforcement on their way. ... We will be on scene the rest of the day, will have a live stream tomorrow, and will make an announcement as to what time later this afternoon. .. Thank you everyone for your support and donations in getting us here to help Kiely and her family.”

However, the law enforcement officials have not yet confirmed the identity of the remains found inside the car. In a social media statement, Placer County Sheriff's Office shared, “This afternoon, we were notified by volunteer search group Adventures with Purpose they have found a car and a body in the Prosser Reservoir. The Nevada County Sheriff's Office, Placer County Sheriff’s Office, FBI and allied agencies are at the scene to investigate the findings.”

It added, “The identity of the decedent has not been confirmed. This is a developing situation, and we will provide updates when we can. There will be a press conference tomorrow at 11 am. at the Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District at 10981 Truckee Way, in Truckee.”

The 16-year-old’s friend Sami Smith, who went to the same party on August 5, said, “It has not been confirmed [whether] or not this information is true. This post has been made before any of the law enforcement or family has been notified. Law enforcement is going out there now to confirm information. Please be patient as we figure this out further on [whether] or not this is true.”

The Sun reported that Adventures With Purpose said that they had informed Kiely’s family about the search operation at the lake, where her last location showed. But private investigator Steve tweeted that he was at the scene with Kiely’s father and grandfather. On his Twitter page, he wrote, “1/3 today I was at Prosser with the father and grandfather of #kielyrondi We were discussing her disappearance, we could see #adventureswithpurpose not far away. At 2:48pm I received a call from @DxTheMystery informing me that Kiely was found. I then informed her father.”

He went on to say, “And grandfather that Kiely had been found. We rushed to the site and the incredible team at #adventureswithpurpose showed me proof she had been located with her vehicle. I know there will be so many questions but right now I can not say much,” before adding, “3/3 please keep #kielyrondi, her family and her friends in your thoughts. Thank you #adventureswithpurpose and everyone who spent time assisting in this search. To the team I work with I can’t tell you how much you mean. I am so sorry you are gone Kiely.”
