TRUCKEE, CALIFORNIA: As the search for 16-year-old Kiely Rodni has intensified, several people have reportedly urged Dog the Bounty Hunter to step in. However, it has been said that the television personality, whose real name is Duane Chapman, is not interested in working on Rodni's case currently. The reason behind his hesitancy is apparently the criticisms he had to face during Gabby Petito’s probe.

As per TMZ, Dog's representatives said, "Some of the tipsters offer vague clues -- something he's used over the years to eventually develop solid leads -- and he's also been getting a slew of emails from people who just want him to jump in because of his track record in finding missing persons.” However, the issue is when the 69-year-old tried to help during Petito’s murder case and showed up at the door of Brian Laundrie’s sister’s house, the video of that incident went online and he was accused of interferring in police investigation.

Dog’s representatives also told TMZ that he would only participate in Rodni’s search operation if the family or police asked him to do so or "21 days have passed since the person was declared missing. The reason for 21 days ... Dog says that's when missing persons cases typically go cold.” Besides, the former bail bondsman is hoping to get solid tips on Rodni’s whereabouts.

As per reports, the 16-year-old girl was last seen in the early hours of August 6 after she attended a high school grad party at the Prosser Family Campground. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office as well as Nevada County Sheriff's Office are working together to find the girl. On August 17, on their Facebook page, Placer County Sheriff’s Office said, "Today is day 12 of the investigation for 16-year-old Kiely Rodni. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office and Nevada County Sheriff's Office continue to deploy numerous resources to locate Kiely and her vehicle.”

The post added, “The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is leading a task force of detectives from local, state, and federal agencies – they continue to follow up on leads and conduct interviews to find Kiely. The figures outlined above are reflective of investigative and search and rescue efforts from August 16th. Earlier, Rodni’s mother Lindsey Rodni-Nieman had also urged people to come forward and help them in finding her daughter. She said, “We are desperate for any other teens to come out and share the last pieces of the story that nobody seems to be able to piece together.” Additionally, law enforcement officials referring to other teenagers, who may have some information, noted: “If they are concerned about coming forward with information about the missing persons case, they should go to a person they trust and have them take the information to law enforcement.”
