Trunks, an original member of the Members Only rap collective with the late XXXTentacion, revealed his cancer diagnosis in early January 2022. In an Instagram story, the rapper shared that he found out he had cancer after testing positive for Covid. The Florida rapper kept the news to himself until his account was allegedly hacked in January and a disturbing post was shared, sparking death rumors.
After the incident, Trunks explained, "My account was hacked posted on then the post was deleted u guys. I wanted to keep silence about my situation but I'll explain to you guys later today...I was near death but I didn't die! Thanks you all for being there and caring. I caught Covid-19 & while in the process of them checking my body they found I had pneumonia cancer aka chest cancer."
Meanwhile, despite the life-threatening incident, Trunks has remained active on social media. He posted a screenshot of a FaceTime call with musician Noah Cyrus on his Instagram story. Trunks wrote, "@noahcyrus one of the fewest human beings I’ve met in this industry that genuinely mean the world to me. Thanks for the love." He was also seen talking to Billie Eilish and fellow rapper Trippie Redd in the FaceTime screenshots.
Trunks isn’t letting the incident hinder him from working as he is also promoting verses and features on his story, asking people to reach out to him on projects. He wrote in his story, "F**k all the negativity and let’s get to the money family!", asking people to reach out to him on SoundCloud, Spotify, and Instagram. The self-proclaimed "Best Asian rapper alive" released his first major project 'Super Saiyan', featuring appearances from Ski Mask The Slump God, A$AP Ant, Robb Bank$, and others in 2018. His latest project 'Moon' was released in 2020.
