Travis Scott is not the only rapper who inked a sneaker deal in 2020 as the American hip-hop icon Kid Cudi has also sealed a deal with sneaker giant Adidas. The American rapper and record producer took to his Twitter to reveal his new sneakers with Adidas Originals as he re-tweeted a post by them. The caption read, “Positivity in life and sole. Named after @KidCudi’s daughter Vada. A mash-up of the future and the past. Kid Cudi built the Vadawam 326 from the ground up.”

The collaboration comes at a time when Kid Cudi is all set to drop his brand new album ‘Man On The Moon III: The Chosen One’ also stylized as ‘MOTM3.’ The news of the sneaker launch comes shortly after the 36-year-old rapper was reported to be working on producing and starring in a film adaptation of Brandon Taylor’s semi-autobiographical novel, 'Real Life', as reported by Hypebeast. In the new pictures revealed, we can Kid Cudi posing with the new collection. Apart from Adidas collaboration, Kid Cudi also dropped fresh merchandise for his new project. Name
Kid Cudi’s collaboration with Adidas is called Vadawam 326. The official website of Adidas described it as, “Inspired by his daughter and the notion of positivity through creativity, Cudi's new silhouette represents a future that we envision for ourselves and our children.” If we talk about the new clothing merchandise, it is simply called ‘MOTM3’ merch.
Design
The Vadawam 326 is dropping in two designs namely Core White and Core Black where the former comes with creamy whites offset by brown and tan patches while Core Black features blacks, slates, and purple-hued greys as well as some subtle solar pink detailing. The mid-cut sneaker features a chunky, moon boot-esque design anchored by three off-center velcro straps across the lacing. According to Sneaker News, Kid Cudi’s new kicks will also be available in Ecru Tint and Easy Yellow colors for Core White whereas, Core Black will feature Night Grey and Solar Pink editions.
His new clothing for ‘MOTM3’ was made in collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market and comes with short and long-sleeve t-shirts, pullover hoodies, and sweatpants, all of which feature graphics that reference ‘MOTM3’ tracks.
Cost
Kid Cudi’s Core White and Core Black are priced at $180 while his new merch ranges between $50 to $175.
Release date
The Adidas sneakers will be up for sale from December 17, 2020, whereas, the new ‘MOTM3’ merch is already up on Kid Cudi's online store.
‘MOTM3’ will is scheduled to hit the Internet on December 11, 2020. The new album is a follow-up to his full-length solo project ‘Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ which was released in 2016. However, originally, the brand new album is a sequel to his 2010 album ‘Man on the Moon: The Legend of Mr Rager’ which was a follow-up to the first part ‘Man on the Moon: The End of Day’ from the year 2009. Fans had to wait for a decade for the trilogy album. Kid Cudi had earlier also announced a project called ‘Entergalactic’ which might see the light of the day in 2021.
