Khloe Kardashian has company: Celebrities who've been stabbed in the back by BFFs
You don't hook up with your best friend's sister's baby daddy, Jordyn Woods, you just don't. As Gretchen Wieners from 'Mean Girls' would have put it, "That's just like, the rules of feminism!"
Unless you've been living off the grid, you already know that life on the internet has been swallowed by a massive shocker - Khloe Kardashian, the youngest Kar star has been cheated on, once again, by her totally infamous professional basketball player partner, Tristan Thompson.
With who you ask? Auntie Koko has been stabbed in the back by none other than her youngest sister Jen's BFF Jordyn Woods. While there have been different sources claiming to know what is really going on inside the family, we don't really know for sure. But what we do know is, that this isn't the first time a celebrity has been involved in a cheating scandal involving a BFF.
Remember the appalling affair between 'American Idol' meanie Simon Cowell and Andrew Silverman's wife, Lauren? Simon and Andrew weren't as tight as Kylie, Jordan, and Khloe are (were?) but this friendship was before Instagram became a thing. Thick as thieves, they have been pals since forever until Simon decided to go ahead and stick it into Lauren. If that wasn't bad enough, he also knocked her up - leaving Andrew in a depressing mess.
The news broke when Andrew accused his former buddy of banging his wife when they were very much together - infact, the two were even spotted kissing on a yacht trip - a trip, where Andrew was also very much present. If that wasn't bad enough, it turns out the two had been getting it on since 2009 - and this scandal broke out in 2013. Lauren was introduced to Simon by Andrew on a trip to Barbados in 2006. It was definitely a hard time for Andrew who opened up to US Weekly much later saying, "It was a very difficult time in my life. I learned a lot, moved forward."
The three are friends (frenemies?) now and Andrew's re-married and the storm has passed. But even then, this story was just as much heartbreaking and ridiculously shocking as this Kar-Jen-Woods drama is. One can only imagine how Andrew must have dealt with it.
If that don't shock you much, think about this - in 2008, country singer Shania Twain was in the center of a blinding spotlight after she found out that her longtime BFF Marie-Anne Thiebaud had been hooking up with her husband, chief musical producer, and confidant of 17 years Robert Mutt Lange behind her back. Shania had a total panic attack when she confronted her about the affair, as she later revealed in her book 'From This Moment On' and even thought she wanted to die.
"It was like I was kicked off my own bus while it was moving full speed ahead, and I landed in the dirt and everything I had was thrown out after me," she said at the time, "And after tumbling and getting a mouthful of dirt, I had to try to stand up, then figure out where I was and start walking."
However, in a bizarre turn of events, Shania ended up marrying Marie's ex-husband Fred - so we guess this one had a tiny happy ending after all.
You should be feeling like Koko isn't alone in this mess by now, but if you aren't, chances are it's because we've been talking about things that happened a little too much in the past. In that case, let me just remind you about the seedy things that went on between Niall Horan, Ed Sheeran, and Ed's babe back then Ellie Goulding. The two were dating and then suddenly seemed to split up and just a couple of months later, Ed came up with a song hinting that she cheated on him with a friend.
In his track 'Don't', Ed implied that Ellie cheated on him with someone in a hotel when he was on the premises too. Later, we find out that it was Niall, the One Directioner he was talking about. The water's under the bridge now and the two are friends again but this one must have hurt like a b****.
You may argue that Jordyn's betrayal is so much worse and we understand why you'd feel that way - after all, most of Jordyn's fame is undoubtedly owed to Kylie Jenner. Apart from lipstick collabs for Kylie's Lip Kits in 'Woody' and 'Jordy', the BFFs (former?) also collaborated on an eyeshadow palette called the Jordyn Palette.
The shades were called "no new friends," "Inseparable," "best life" and "together forever." Not to mention that Woods' profile has been on the rise since she was featured in episodes of 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' and 'Life of Kylie', as well on Kylie's Insta. Your heart burns a little, right?
It's a given that backstabbers will never change and that cheaters will always be cheaters (looking at you Tristan) but clearly, this too shall pass for Koko. Hopefully, she hangs in there, stronger than ever - sans Tristy, of course.
