Khloé Kardashian denies she’s back with ex Tristan Thompson amid reports saying she rekindled romance in June
Khloé Kardashian and ex, Tristan Thompson, seem to be trying to work things out. On Monday, August 3, People magazine reported that the reality star and the Cleveland Cavaliers player have been back together since June.
The couple split in February 2019 following his cheating scandal with Jordyn Woods. Thompson also allegedly cheated on Kardashian in 2018 while she was pregnant with True. But the two have reportedly reconnected while self-isolating together during the coronavirus pandemic with their two-year-old daughter, True.
A source close to them told People magazine, “She loves having him around. He has the best relationship with True. And he has been amazing to Khloé too. They are very much together and Khloé is beyond happy.”
“They have been living in kind of a bubble and Khloé enjoys it,” the source added, noting that once Thompson's basketball season with the Cleveland Cavaliers starts back up, their relationship might be tested. “Tristan's traveling was always a concern. This is when he would mess up their relationship. She hopes that Tristan has changed though so they can continue to be together as a family,” the source said.
Last month, news outlets reported that the exes were “giving their relationship another try”. Around the same time, they were spotted filming an upcoming episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ in Malibu.
But Kardashian has refuted all claims of rekindling the romance. A representative for the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star told Daily Mail on Monday that the reports are "not true" and that Kardashian is simply enjoying co-parenting with Thompson.
On Sunday, August 2, The Daily Mail reported that the NBA player was spotted picking up some pizza for Kardashian and True from a restaurant near her home in the Calabasas neighborhood of Los Angeles.
But even before they reconnected during their time in lockdown, Thompson and Kardashian have tried to work things out to be good parents to True. Kardashian has been open about working together to co-parent True, despite their relationship not always working for them. “So many people don't understand it, but I lead with love and we put our child first,” she said last month. “If you have that mindset, everything else follows easily. We have a family together. Don't make it more difficult by dragging your feet. This is going to be forever, so we want to make it the best that we can.”
“Tristan and I needed that time to heal and I needed time to go through my emotions. But now he's literally one of my best friends. A lot of that has been because of quarantine. We spend a lot of time together with no distractions and seeing him as a dad and how helpful he is, I'm so grateful. Especially during this time because it's such an isolating time. I'm really grateful for that support and that additional help,” she further said then.
On Sunday, August 2, Kardashian also spoke to Parade magazine. The Good American founder said, “At first, Tristan would come here and help me; he was such a great asset -- just having another human being to talk to was so nice. Obviously, we have Facetime and phones, but having someone in person be here, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is so nice to have right now.’ Being alone in a house with a two-year-old… I love her to death but sometimes I just need full sentences!”
