Why did Khloe Kardashian admit she had Covid-19 day after Kim's party backlash? Internet says 'great plotline'

Khloe Kardashian confirmed she was diagnosed with Covid-19 when the pandemic started, but faced backlash on social media for revealing it after months

A day after the Kar-Jenner clan was slammed for Kim's 40th birthday celebrations on a private island during the coronavirus pandemic, Khloe Kardashian confirmed her previous Covid-19 diagnosis, which happened when the pandemic started. During a sneak peek of the October 29 episode of the reality TV show 'Keeping Up with The Kardashians', Khloe revealed that she had experienced "vomiting, shaking and hot and cold flashes" and severe headaches, according to E! News. 

Khloe says in a self-taken video, "Just found out that I do have corona. I have been in my room. It’s gonna be fine, but it was really bad for a couple days." The video was released on Wednesday, October 28. "I suffer from migraines, but this was the craziest headache," Khloe shared. 

"I wouldn’t say it was a migraine. The coughing, my chest would burn when I would cough," she added. She had released the video of her Covid-19 diagnosis after the family had received a lot of backlash for Kim Kardashian's lavish 40th birthday celebration. 

The group had partied on a large private island amid the coronavirus pandemic with Kim posting pictures of the celebration on social media of herself and her family and friends who were all seen unmasked. Kim had revealed that "after 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island."

The show 'KUWTK' had filmed almost its entire current season before the coronavirus pandemic had shut the entertainment industry down. Production of the finale of the season was filmed with the family documenting their own lives using 'phone-friendly tripods' which had been set up by a technician in a hazmat suit.

This confessional video taken by Khloe is the first time that her test results have been confirmed. In the clip, Khloe's sister Kim also explained, "We’re just anxiously awaiting the results for Khloe to see if she has it or not. I mean, my gut tells me she does, just because she’s so sick. And that really scares me for her, ’cause I can tell that she’s now getting scared and that she’s really nervous about it."

Khloe's confession of her coronavirus diagnosis received a lot of backlash across social media. One such user had written, "I feel like this makes them look worse! Why did they hide it for months only for it to come out on the show, rather than warning her millions of followers to wear a mask & take it seriously. This family is so gross."

Another user commented, "wait Khloe Kardashian HAD covid earlier this year?? and the Kardashians STILL decided to have their little island getaway??? celebrities are a fucking disease all their own." Yet another shared, "Well thank god she got her fresh nails done and face tight to shoot this lil confessional video of her being ill for days." Another said, "She suffered from corona in full makeup, not a hair out of place. Great plot line. Did they contact trace?"

"Why would @khloekardashian wait to tell Us she had Covid wayy earlier this year?? It would of been more impactful if she told us when she actually had it... jusr from a fans perspective," said another user on Twitter. Yet another shared, "On heels of the private island get away & now you wanna come out & look for sympathy from fans about covid? I’m sure you had every medical staff needed at your fingertips. Imagine the ones who don’t have access? You are no different than the others suffering. #KhloeKardashian."
