Khloe Kardashian thinks Caitlyn Jenner's 'partner' Sophia Hutchins is 'really sweet'
Khloe Kardashian is on the road to recovery when it comes to her strained relationship with Caitlyn Jenner. The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star made her comments about Caitlyn's partner Sophia Hutchins to Laura Wasser on an episode of the famed celebrity divorce attorney's podcast 'Divorce Sucks!', which is slated to be released on Monday, May 20.
When asked about Sophia, Khloe repeatedly said she's "really sweet". On Caitlyn currently dating a woman, Khloe said, "Yes, I believe that she is a transgendered woman as well. She's really, really sweet too. She's really sweet. She's younger but like, she's not bothering anyone. She's super sweet."
Sophia, who works as the executive director of the Olympian's Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, a transgender rights organization, sparked rumors of a romance with Caitlyn in late 2017. The two partners currently live together in Malibu and have been spotted together in public several times, so much so that Sophia even joined Caitlyn's family at Kim Kardashian's Christmas party in December.
However, Caitlyn and Sophia are extremely private as a couple, and have not shared too many details of their relationship with the world. Last October, Caitlyn said she "wouldn't describe it as a romantic relationship." And even Sophia agreed to the status, as she told on the 'Hidden Truth Show' with Jim Breslo, "I would describe our relationship as we're partners, we're business partners, I'm the executive director of her foundation."
However, the trans couple's garb of business partnership almost came off when some weeks ago, Sophia posted on Instagram photos from her 23rd birthday party, which included pics with Caitlyn, and wrote, "I am so lucky to have the friends, team, and amazing loving partner I have." Moments later, the 21-year-old quickly went back to edit her post, which now reads, "I am so lucky to have the friends, team, and all of the love and support I have." On the other hand, Caitlyn too posted a photo of her partner at the bash, writing, "Happy Birthday to my little Sophia! It was a great night last night. So few candles."
During her interview, Khloe also spoke about how proud she was of mom Kris Jenner and the way she handled her split with Caitlyn."I will say my mom is like, Superwoman," Khloe said on the podcast. "That's also something that's a takeaway for us, in someone that we get to really look up to on that level, with just how to co-parent, how to deal with divorce and yes, I remember during the initial couple months of it, it's traumatic and her emotions are really high and that's expected... there was love there."
Khloe also spoke about her own current relationship with her former step-parent. "I saw Caitlyn recently," she said. "When I see Caitlyn, it's fine. I think we've really come a long way. It was a struggle, I think, for all of us. But at first, the transition, not because she was transitioning, I think from just how it was all handled. But I also think when your emotions die down, you're able to really look at everything and be like, 'We're all humans and we're all trying to figure this out'."
"We all have our own s**t and I could only imagine how difficult that had to be to tell your children something like that. But at the time, information was withheld from us, and we had to find out through either media channels or other things. I think all our feelings were hurt," she said, adding, "I think we're all in a really good place and I think we all just want everybody to just be happy with whoever they are."
