Lame was born in Senegal on March 9, 2000. He is the youngest of three siblings. Lame's father works in the private sector and his mother is a home maker.
Lame was born to a devout Muslim family and continues to practise Islam. "Yes, I'm a Muslim, a practicing Muslim," Lame told an Italian news channel, adding, "I don't know what else to say," according to STARSunfolded. He is also a Hafiz-e-Quran, which means he has memorized the Quran.
After Lame's birth, his family moved to a public housing complex in Chivasso, Italy, when he was a year old. He went to Italian schools until he was 14, when his parents decided to send him to a Quranic school near Dakar. He has been interested in acting since he was a child.
