Who is Khaby Lame's girlfriend? Zaira Nucci doesn't care about his TikTok fame
One of the most famous faces on social media at this time is a man who is known for making not a single sound and donning an expression so profoundly tired of the vexatious nonsense of others, it is at once relatable and endearing and hilarious. This is Khabane ‘Khaby’ Lame, a 21-year-old Senegalese-born TikTok star based in Italy.
At the time of writing this, Lame has more than 114 million followers on TikTok and almost 48 million followers on Instagram, a feat that is extraordinary. As per a CNN report, when Italy first went into a coronavirus lockdown in 2020, Lame had just lost his job at a factory near the northern city of Turin. At the time, he spent his days at his parents' home in Chivasso with his three siblings, looking for other jobs. One day, he downloaded TikTok and started posting videos of himself. Lo and behold, history was created.

Lame began making fun of the innumerable “life-hack” videos that flood social media platforms. And the way he did that was with an expression that almost anyone on either app knows all too well now — a deadpan look followed by silent exasperation. "I came up with the idea because I was seeing these videos circulating, and I liked the idea of bringing some simplicity to it," Lame told CNN. "The type of gesture came by chance, but the silence didn't. I thought of a way to reach as many people as possible. And the best way was not to speak."
"Maybe because my facial expressions are funny and they make people laugh, this simplicity makes people laugh and I love it," Lame said. Christina Ferraz, founder of Houston-based marketing agency Thirty6five, however, believes that the popularity of Lame's videos show how nonverbal communication can transcend language and cultural barriers. "You don't need to speak to be seen or understood," she told CNN. "His exasperation is relatable, and feelings are universal."
"They know I'm the one who solves problems so they tag me or mention me and they're like, 'Khaby it's your turn, solve this problem because we need you'," Lame said. "I don't care if I'm first or second or fourth most popular on TikTok. I started making videos because I wanted to make people laugh in that period of lockdown," he said. "And I keep making videos with the same ideals. I'm happy about my accomplishments, but those are not my main things."
Who is Khabane ‘Khaby’ Lame dating?
As per reports, Lame and 18-year-old Zaira Nucci have been dating for some time now. They have reportedly known each other since October 2020. They reportedly met on social media. Lame shared a photo of the two of them on April 4 on his Instagram.
Lame said he came across Nucci in October 2020 and replied to her story on Instagram. “It all started by chance, thanks to social media. In October 2020 I replied to a story on Instagram. We talked for a while, then we stopped writing,” he reportedly said in an interview. But shortly after the two met again in their city. As per reports, he asked her out on a date and they went to a McDonald’s: “The first time was beautiful and simple at the same time,” he said.
Nucci was reportedly born in Sciacca, in the province of Agrigento. Later she moved to Chivasso with her family. Despite his online fame, Lame reportedly said in an interview, “I immediately realized that she was interested in me as a person and not as a TikTok character. I’ve been lucky”.
