Kevin Costner's tech mogul tenant Daniel Starr denies hooking up with Christine Baumgartner: 'We were just friendly'
CARPINTERIA, CALIFORNIA: Technology entrepreneur and Kevin Costner's tenant Daniel Starr has been in the news lately for allegedly infuriating the 68-year-old actor when he saw the mogul "hanging out" with his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner,49. However, in the most recent development, the tenant himself has spoken out and denied hooking up with the 49-year-old woman.
The tech mogul, whom Costner allegedly grilled concerning an intimate relationship with his ex-wife, exclusively admitted to TMZ that they never got sexual. When the outlet caught up with Daniel Starr Wednesday, June 21 as he was exiting a Starbucks in Ventura, their photographer asked him directly if he had ever slept with the actor's ex-wife while he was staying at the Costners' seaside guest house in Carpenteria.
Daniel denies dalliance
Kevin allegedly questioned Daniel about his relationship with Christine, alleging the two were spending a lot of time together on the property while Kevin was away filming, according to a previous article in the Sun. Daniel disputed that there was an altercation. The tenant claimed to TMZ that they "never hooked up" and claimed that they "were just friendly with one another."
'I just had a tenant-family relationship'
Daniel mentioned in the TMZ video that he has no beef with Kevin, despite the fact that he relocated out a few months before his 12-month contract was supposed to expire. The entrepreneur also stated that he just had a landlord-tenant relationship with Kevin. The tenant called Kevin a "good guy" and said, "I have no problem with him whatsoever." When questioned if they are friends now, the tech mogul said, "I just was a tenant. I just had a tenant-family relationship. so yeah, nothing else."
'I hope they can peacefully resolve it'
The real estate developer hopes that the separated couple will reach an amicable divorce settlement for the well-being of their children. "They are going through a divorce. They have kids. I feel really badly. I hope they can peacefully resolve it," said Starr. According to Kevin, Christine is refusing to leave the house and is now demanding $248k in child support each month, as TMZ reported. Daniel claims he only wants peace for everyone involved despite the harsh nature of the divorce.
