In an 11-page declaration that sheds light on the immense pressure Costner is facing as he fights to reclaim his $145 million compound, complete his ambitious film project and navigate a grueling dispute over his $400 million fortune with his estranged wife.

Revealing the intricate details of his situation, Costner discloses that he has made a significant investment in his upcoming film 'Horizon: An American Saga,' a four-part project in which he serves as both director and lead actor.

'She is really looking to replicate her own lifestyle'

He states, "In 2022, I contributed $20 million to the production company as my share of those commitments," as per Radar Online. Meanwhile, Costner's estranged wife, Christine, is demanding an exorbitant $248,000 per month in child support, linking it to his desire to regain possession of his cherished home. Expressing his disbelief at the demand, Costner suggests that Christine's intention is to maintain her own lavish lifestyle. He asserts, "It appears to me from Christine's Declaration that... she is really looking to replicate her own lifestyle."

In addition to these challenges, Costner reveals his concerns about his financial situation after deciding to depart from 'Yellowstone' following its fifth season, despite plans for a lucrative sixth season. He clarifies, "I thought 2023 would be a difficult year financially if I was not working on 'Yellowstone' because I was going to probably have to defer my salary on the 'Horizon' film projects to the back end (which I did)."
