Kevin Bacon will never forget Kyra Sedgwick calling the police to Tom Cruise’s house: ‘She’s so crazy’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kyra Sedgwick made waves earlier this month after recalling a memorable dinner party. The actress was hanging out at Tom Cruise's residence when she touched a random button in his house out of curiosity and was never invited back.
Kyra Sedgwick deserves praise for speaking about this embarrassing incident on 'The Drew Barrymore Show'. Kyra created quite a commotion after revealing that she was once invited to Tom Cruise's party with Kevin Bacon. The actress admitted that she pressed a random button in his house, which turned out to be a panic button that caused a delay in the party.
'It was one of those nights that I often don't get invited to
She said, "I was pregnant, I was very pregnant, and we got invited over to dinner. We got invited over for dinner with lots of famous people like Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, because she was in [A Few Good Men]... It was one of those nights that I often don't get invited to..," as reported by ENews.
'Nothing happened and then I got a little nervous'
She added, "There was this, like, fireplace mantle, and I was looking around and there was this little button underneath the mantel. I was like, "Oh what is that little button?" So I pressed the little button because I thought maybe something interesting will happen. Nothing happened and then I got a little nervous..."
The screening party was delayed because Kyra had to respond to inquiries about what had happened with the policemen, and five police officers eventually turned up. She admitted that following the event, neither she nor Kevin received another invitation.
'I just apologized, Oh honey, she's so crazy'
Kevin Bacon had to deal with some damage control following the event, as was to be anticipated. Speaking to Drew Barrymore about the incident, Bacon explained that given what had happened and the delay it had created, all he could do at the time was apologize. He said, "I just apologized, 'Oh honey, she's so crazy. There she goes again, pressing buttons." The list of guests who attended the celebration probably made things even more challenging.
Kyra and Kevin appear to live in a secure home environment. The 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' actress said in an interview that she feels free at home. She said she and Kevin are "more naked than usual, but I wouldn't say we're naked all the time by any stretch." But if you ask Kevin, that is OK. The parents have their privacy since their two children have grown up and moved out. He said, "Listen, as long as you have good curtains, you know, good shades."
