Ken Jennings, a former contestant and now a host of 'Jeopardy!', has recently made a comeback on the show after a hiatus and his performance so far has stunned viewers. Jennings, 48, returned to host the show on Monday, July 18, with Mayim Bialik appearing as the "master of ceremonies".

A clue to the 'Active Bible Verses' question during a Double Jeopardy round read, "Since no one had done this for 40 years, God told Joshua to get a knife and do this to male Israelites." Then Erica Weiner-Amanchi, another contestant, buzzed in and answered, "What is circumcise?" In the heat of the moment, Jennings remarked, "That is true. You get a painful $2,000!" The participants appeared astonished and uncomfortable after the NSFW joke

However, the joke got a good laugh from Jennings' fans, who were glad to have him back as the host of the show. "Ken Jennings just made a circumcision joke on Jeopardy, Make him the official host already," one fan tweeted.

Another fan wrote, "This is what happens when you tell jokes spontaneously without doing an 'open mike' first..." another fan chimed in.

"Pretty funny, and pretty much every @Jeopardy fan is glad he's back. Can we please just keep him and be done with it?" said a fan.

46-year-old Bialik addressed being compared to Jennings often in a recent episode of her podcast 'Mayim Bialik's Breakdown', highlighting the nasty feedback she received from fans who prefer Jennings over her as a host of the show. "Isn't that wild?" on-air guest and actor Justin Long responded. "Well, it's the only profession that I can think of where people will tell you deeply insulting things but with a big smile," she said.

The 'Big Bang Theory' actress also mentioned how often her appearance has come under fire on the show, including her hair and her "nerdy style"."[Fans will tell you] exactly how they feel. Like, 'I saw you in a magazine. I was very confused. You looked pretty.' I get that a lot," Bialik said. "Most men wear suits when they go there, so yeah," she added.

"The fact is we don't live in a culture where I can wear a gray suit and then a blue suit, but maybe next year, we'll see. I don't think anyone should think about it so much, especially me," Bialik continued. "I'm one of these people who think red carpets should have a standard set of dresses for women, so we don't have so many. You can do long sleeve or short sleeve — that's it, and everybody goes home," she further said.
