On Friday, October 2, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway tested positive for the virus and now her daughter, Claudia Conway, has contracted the disease. Claudia revealed the news in a TikTok video on Sunday, October 4.

While not many details have arrived on how Claudia contracted the virus, two days ago she spoke about her mother who tested positive for Covid-19. On October 2, Claudia posted an image of herself looking annoyed with the caption, "my mom coughing all around the house after Trump tested positive for Covid”, as reported by TMZ. This was an indication that her mother was not well. Moments later, Kellyanne officially announced that she is positive for the virus in a tweet. She wrote, “Tonight I tested positive for COVID-19. My symptoms are mild (light cough) and I’m feeling fine. I have begun a quarantine process in consultation with physicians. As always, my heart is with everyone affected by this global pandemic.”

Trump's trusted advisor, Kellyanne’s test results came after she was exposed to many White House dignitaries at the Rose Garden event that celebrated the selection of Amy Coney Barrett for the SCOTUS position. The event took place on Saturday, September 26, where Kellyanne was seated near First Lady Melania Trump, Sen Mike Lee and Notre Dame President John I Jenkins, as reported by TMZ and shown in pictures. Till now, all of them have tested positive for the virus. In a Washington Post feature, Kellyanne remembers the encouraging spirit of husband George when they got married in 2001. The feature tells that at that time Kellyanne was just finding her footing as a sought-after pollster in Washington. She recounted on George’s motivating conduct where he did not listen to his friend’s advice that the best thing for their marriage would be for Kellyanne to shut down her business. George, instead, encouraged his wife to keep working towards her own dream, Washington Post writes.

So has the relationship changed now as they have different opinions on Trump? Kellyanne tells the Washington Post, “I feel there’s a part of him that thinks I chose Donald Trump over him.” She added as reported in WP, “Which is ridiculous. One is my work and one is my marriage.” Kellyanne Elizabeth Conway, who is a pollster and political consultant, has been serving as counselor to the POTUS from 2017 to 2020. She was previously Trump's campaign manager, having been appointed in August 2016. Moreover, Kellyanne is the first woman to have run a successful US presidential campaign as reported by The Week. She is a Trump supporter while her husband George, rips the POTUS publicly, as reported by BBC. BBC reported that George has publicly disparaged Trump many times. He has described him as "incompetent" while Trump too has attacked George Conway as "stone cold LOSER". Moreover, Trump said that he turned down George, a conservative lawyer, for a job in the US justice department as reported by BBC.George tweeted in March this year lashing at Trump, “Trump will go down as the most incompetent president in American history, bar none.” His Twitter account often posts or retweets against Trump.

However, Kellyanne, an adviser to Trump, defends her boss. Heading into the 2020 election campaign, she remains caught between her boss and her husband as BBC reports. Despite the pressure on their marriage, the Conways have stayed together.
