'How dare you mock me!' Kelly Ripa snaps at Mark Consuelos as he jokes about her on-air makeup blunder
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There are three things that always work in favor of ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’ when it comes to their viewership and popularity. The first is Kelly Ripa, the second is Mark Consuelos, and lastly, the relationship that the husband-wife duo share. Ever since Mark joined Kelly turning ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’ into ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’ fans are getting a glimpse into the couple's marriage, and it's a whole lot of fun.
To begin with, Kelly is often saving Mark from making blunders on-screen during live shows, and despite the help, he often makes mistakes. Well, on Tuesday, June 13, episode of ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’, it was Kelly who made the blunder, but not the kind one would imagine. It’s time for make-up blenders to show themselves out, and make-up blunders to come in.
‘I look a little pale’
When it comes to filming 'Live with Kelly and Mark' in front of a live audience, Kelly wants to make sure she looks her best. This time, her dress did not match her skin tone, so she resorted to a last-minute spray tan. When spray tanning goes wrong, it's one of the funniest beauty blunders, but of course not when you are on live TV on your own show. When Kelly sat down, she decided to get ahead of the problem and alert the audience and Mark to her mishap.
“I put on the dress, I like the dress, but I look a little pale,” Kelly says as she explains the use of the spray on tanner, “No muss. No fuss. You just spray it on.” Sadly, there was a little fuss in this tanning process backstage as Kelly reveals that her hands have started to turn green, and asked Mark and the audience to let her know if the rest of her body turns green too.

Mark was quick to laugh off his wife’s beauty mishap and nods along, “I’ll let you know, I’ll let you know.” However, the response seemed almost too short and straightforward for Mark, and we were right. He seized the opportunity right there and remarked, “The tell-tale sign of spray tan, you can always tell.” He then continued, “But I don’t think you are pale, it’s just that, in comparison to what you have to sit next to.” The crowd laughed, and Kelly sat quietly for a moment before joking to her husband, “How dare you mock me!” She added, “It’s so unfair you have such good skin,” to which he gave a smirk and responded, “I know, I’m sorry.”
This earned a huge laugh from the audience as Kelly tried to hide the fact that she had taken some offense. Well, Mark – 1, Kelly – green.
