Kelly Clarkson reveals her children have doubts regarding the 'definition of love': 'Difficult to answer'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kelly Clarkson’s children are finding it difficult to understand ‘love’. The singer-songwriter made a recent appearance on the Podcrushed podcast and candidly talked about her children's growing questions about this subject. "When you do go through a divorce, especially with young kids, the definition of love comes up quite a bit," she told the hosts on Wednesday, July 5. "So you don't love daddy anymore?" her children asked Clarkson.
The Grammy winner responded to her children's queries by saying, "I love that Daddy gave me you two. We just don't like each other like we did. It's just different now.” Clarkson immediately recognizes by looking at their face, that the next question coming to their mind is, "What about us?' You can see it on their face, they question, 'Can your love change for me?' "

'Why don't I have a grandpa from you?'
The 41-year-old host further explains how difficult it is to answer those questions, "It's hard. and then it's hard when they go, 'Why don't I have a grandpa from you? You told me love is different with a parent and a child than with a husband and a wife. But it's not because your dad left you.' " This was in reference to the TV host’s relationship with her late estranged father.
During her guest appearance on an episode of 'Las Culturistas' last month, the artist engaged in a conversation with the hosts about her family's relocation to New York City.
'He loves New York'
Clarkson shared that her children are yet to make their way to New York yet since their family spends summers at her ranch in Montana. "They've been here off and on for vacations, but they haven't actually lived here, going to school here, done that here so that's happening right when they start school," she replied to hosts Matt Rogers, 33, and Bowen Yang, 32. "My son is very excited. My daughter, I'm still winning over. It's not New York, it's the fact that she just has friends. Now my son is like, 'My friends will be fine, let's go.' He loves New York."
Clarkson and ex-partner Bradon Blackstock share two children, seven-year-old son Remington ‘Remy’ Alexander, and nine-year-old daughter River Rose. The duo parted ways in 2021, ending their eight-year marriage, according to People.
