SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA: Kelis had an unpleasant experience with her children during a snowstorm in California over the weekend. On her Instagram, the singer shared that she and her children were going to Big Bear Lake in San Bernardino County in California to enjoy the snow before her car “almost fell off a cliff”.

The 43-year-old also described in the social media video that a tow truck was trying to get the vehicle back while she and her family had been "outside for a while". “We've been outside for a while, but we had all this snowboarding gear. So God is good. And I figured if you're going to be in the situation, you should at least look your best. So I'm wearing layers to keep warm,” the ‘Trick Me’ singer said while wearing a huge navy green jacket and bright pink coat.

‘This is rescue fashion’

Kelis, who is a mother of three, also seemed to make light of the serious situation as she added, “I've got my light on, thank God, because it's pitch black out here. Silver boots, little reflective action. You know, things could be worse. This is ridiculous. Rescue fashion! This is rescue fashion. See? Always be prepared.”

Meanwhile, the caption of her Instagram share read, “My plan was to take the kids to the snow, but we almost fell off a cliff! So make the best of what ya got, n always be prepared lol #bigbear #blizzard #snowstorm #rescue #fashion #grateful,” attracting a number of comments.

The third one commented, “Can’t no one tell this woman she ain’t always working. This is hustler mode 24/7. Sis said, umm since we got some time… let me make this fashion reel cuz I’m committed and ain’t nothing going to stop me. Thanks for this motivation‼️” “Omg …. Not you almost falling off a cliff in style it’s not even funny but I’m glad your smiling and making light of a scary situation. I hope the kids aren’t too shaken up. I would have been a nervous wreck,” the fourth one added.

‘We will continue to monitor road and infrastructure conditions’

This comes as a February 27 weather warning by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said, “The San Bernardino Mountains received several feet of snow over the last few days, impacting the day-to-day operations throughout the mountain communities. At this time, we are asking non-residents and residents not currently on the mountain to avoid the area and allow road crews, first responders, and resupply efforts priority access to the limited number of roads that have been cleared.”

It added, “Gas stations and grocery stores have reached critically low levels and cannot support any additional consumers at this time. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is working with local agencies to create a warming center for those on the mountain in need of additional resources. We will continue to monitor road and infrastructure conditions in conjunction with Cal-Trans, County Roads, and California Highway Patrol.”
