Keanu Reeves started dating Alexandra Grant earlier this year, wants to 'openly share his life' with her
Keanu Reeves and his artist girlfriend Alexandra Grant are in a relationship that they are ready to be more public about.
55-year-old Reeves and 46-year-old Grant were seen attending the LACMA Art+ Film Gala which took place over the weekend. The pair were seen holding on to each other's hand and smiling for the cameras as they posed together on the red carpet. As reported by People, a source shared, "Keanu wants to openly share his life with her".
"He is extremely happy and grateful to have Alex in his life," the source added. According to the insider, the pair have known each other for years and had "started dating earlier this year, but have wanted to keep it quiet". We had previously reported that Reeves and Grant had worked together on the books 'Ode To Happiness' and 'Shadows'.
Grant provided visual art for the volumes while Reeves wrote poetry. The two also have a publishing house together called 'X Artists' Books'. Rumors that the two were romantically linked have been circulating for weeks. In mid-October, they were seen walking arm in arm as they left a sushi bar on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Grant was also seen gently resting her head on Reeves' shoulder as they walked together. Reeves has always kept his personal on the down-low. The 'Matrix' actor has also not had a serious relationship or a girlfriend in around a decade. Prior to this event which he attended with Grant, Reeves has never been affectionate with a woman while on the red carpet in his 35-year career.
The two were also seen exchanging adoring looks as they beamed for the cameras. Reeves has previously been romantically linked to Amanda De Cadenet, Sandra Bullock and Claire Forlani though it is unknown how serious the relationships were.
