Kayleigh McEnany slammed for saying press stands up for Joe Biden but never for Trump: 'You're lying. Again'

'Have no idea what she's talking about. Every single press conference I attended, my colleagues and I all stood when Trump entered room or, in the Rose Garden, took the podium' said a journalist

Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany is once again facing the wrath of social media for saying the press treats President Joe Biden much better than they ever did Donald Trump. McEnany chose to make the allegations over a tweet on March 25, but things didn't go as planned when a majority of social media accused her back of 'lying' as usual.

McEnany, who's a newly minted contributor on Fox News, has been making headlines for her constant criticism of the Biden administration with her recently accusing Biden White House's press secretary Jen Psaki of not being as in tune with Biden as she was with Trump. Rumors of a showdown between the two have also swirled both on social and conventional media, with Twitter being divided over who will vanquish who.

But in recent news, McEnany earned the flak of Twitter users for criticizing Biden's first press conference on March 25. "Right out of the gate, the White House press corps stands for President Biden," McEnany tweeted, continuing: "Would have been nice if they would have routinely shown that level of respect for President Trump. I hope this is not indicative of softball questions to come!" Of course, some followers poured in with likes and retweets, but others were way too quick to point out that McEnany's claims of the press never standing up for Trump were outright lies.

"Have no idea what she's talking about. Every single press conference I attended, my colleagues and I all stood when Trump entered room or, in the Rose Garden, took the podium," read a tweet retweeting what McEnany had said. Another recalled with photo proof "2018 Trump press conference where you can see the press standing for Trump. Lying liars gonna lie."

And some were of the opinion "And it would have been nice if Donald Trump hadn’t routinely lied to the press and called them the “enemy of the people.”" Others accused McEnany saying "You're lying. Again. Just like breathing for you. It's amazing." Another turned the tables on McEnany asking her "Maybe if you all didn’t lie they would have stood up. He deserves no respect." Another social media user reasoned "Maybe if you didn’t lie every single day, you would have been respected. Respect is earned, not given, Kayleigh."

This criticism comes shortly after McEnany was ridiculed on social media for misspelling the word 'feat' as 'feet'. As reported by MEAWW, McEnany had initially tweeted: "President Biden begins his first press conference by touting the rate of vaccines being administered, a feet solely made possible by President Trump's Operation Warp Speed." Soon grammar nazis flocked to her tweet, replying 'Guess they don't teach spelling at Harvard'. And that prompted McEnany to respond in another follow-up tweet: "Bravo to the Blue Checks who fact check my typo and not President Biden taking credit for what he inherited thanks to Operation Warp Speed!"
