MOSCOW, IDAHO: The FBI and Moscow police are actively working to crack the University of Idaho murders and apprehend the accused. Their primary purpose is to piece together what happened on November 13 when Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle and Madison Mogen were brutally stabbed to death at their off-campus house.

Kaylee's Goncalves family has been very outspoken about their daughter's murder case. The family has even hired a private investigator to solve the case and catch the accused, as they are frustrated with Moscow Police's standard approach towards the murders. Recently, Kaylee's mother, Kristi Goncalves, broke her silence to slam Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt.

Kristi slammed Mabbutt over an interview as the things she said about the murder were like "salt in the wound" for the family.

"Every time we turn around, there's another, there's a new — I don't know if they're new or they're old — I'm just coming across them, and I'm just like, oh, my gosh, how many of these did she do?" Kristi said. "I'm sorry, that paints a picture," Goncalves remarked, recalling some of Mabbutt's statements. Goncalves claimed Mabbutt called the family and her 17-year-old daughter took the call in which she recounted Kaylee's wounds. She claimed that Mabbutt asked, "Are you sure you want to know this?" "And my daughter, thinking that she did for whatever reason, said yes," as reported by CBS news.

The Idaho quadruple homicide case has eluded investigators, and the killer is still at large. The Moscow Police Department is working with the FBI to investigate the crime. An army of professionals is going through hours and hours of footage provided by residents and business owners in the area in search of leads. According to insiders, investigators are trying to narrow down cell tower data with the help of the FBI to establish whose phones were in the area.

On December 1, police expressed their continued concern over the incident. They needed to know whether or not it was a targeted hit. Meanwhile, authorities are reportedly asking residents for any relevant information. The Moscow police have also warned web sleuths not to obstruct the investigation by publishing false or defamatory information about anyone connected to the case, threatening police action if there is online harassment or bullying, as per reports.
