Katy Perry reveals baby shower plans amid quarantine and how listening to Bob Marley keeps her 'positive'
Coronavirus has managed to turn the whole world upside down. With social isolation becoming the need of the hour, everything came to a screeching halt. Katy Perry, who announced her pregnancy with partner Orlando Bloom during early March, revealed how the pandemic has wreaked havoc on all her big plans.
The ‘American Idol’ judge was on Facebook live chat, interacting with her fans and answering all their questions. One particular fan expressed how she was having a hard time staying positive about her upcoming marriage in June while coping with the pandemic. The fans also asked how Perry is staying positive and keeping her spirits up during her pregnancy in these dark times.
The ‘Teenage Dream’ singer explained that "it’s ok" to have all these feelings. She responded saying, “It's OK to feel all the feelings.” She then added that even she had to “reschedule many plans” due to the pandemic. “I know not everyone does a babymoon or a baby shower, but I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to do any of that. I'm just taking it one day at a time. But I'll be grateful. I mean, I'm grateful now, but there's a lot going on,” the singer shared.
Bloom and Perry originally planned to get married later this year in Japan. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the couple had to reschedule their wedding to 2021. In the same live chat, Perry expressed how being ‘grateful’ has helped her get through the days. She said, “Some days, you know, you lose perspective. Like, I was showering, and I was like, 'Gotta be grateful, gotta be grateful, no matter what you're going through you gotta be grateful. I know that there's probably a lot of people going through a lot of intense things right now."
She also told her fans what cheers her up when she’s feeling blue. "When I'm really depressed, I put on Bob Marley, because it's just such a cool vibe and so effortlessly positive. So I just turn it up super loud in the house and for some reason that makes me feel good," revealed the 35-year-old singer.
