Katie Price faces backlash after dog Blade dies, the seventh pet to lose its life in her care
SUSSEX, UNITED KINGDOM: Katie Price has announced the death of her German shepherd protection dog Blade! The former glamor model shared that the dog was hit by a car on Monday, June 5. She captioned the post, “Words can’t express the loss of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today I have no words to say how I’m feeling but numb and shocked rip Blade.”
Many users were furious over the tragic event and criticized Price for being an uncaring owner. The reaction was mostly because her last dog suffered the same fate, seven months ago in the same location. The online petition to ban her from owning another animal has garnered support from up to 30,000 signatories. The 45-year-old model has lost five dogs, a horse, and even a chameleon named Marvin, in the span of six years.

'Animals have died from lack of care'
“Unfortunately we have had a large shepherd dog handed into our OOH team last night. Found on the A24 near the dial post. The dog does not have a microchip, however, was wearing a brown Louis Vuitton collar,” wrote Grove Lodge Veterinary Group on their Facebook page.
Animal lovers criticized Price and said: “A puppy has died in the last 24 hours in Katie Price's care. She bought this puppy for her 13-year-old child three weeks ago, which was killed in an accident no one witnessed…” One critic behind the petition's launch said, “In the last five years more animals have died from lack of care. Horses, dogs, cats, lizards, hedgehogs. This isn't a single-family tragedy. It's a common thing in Katie Price's home. Two dogs have been ran over…” he further added, “Puppies were found dead drowning in a neglected swimming pool. A horse was run over on a motorway. Animals just go missing in her home never to be seen again. Her guard dog broke into her neighbor's garden and killed their chickens…”
'I'm absolutely devastated'
Price lost her dog Queenie in 2018 after being struck by a delivery driver, she wrote in an emotional tribute post, "I'm absolutely devastated, heartbroken, my faithful loving family dog's life Queenie has been shortened as she was killed by a heartless delivery driver who ran into our dog seeing her struggle and drove off without telling us and left her to die very disappointed a human being can be this heartless! [sic]," reports the Daily Mail.
