Kathryn Dennis moves back in with dad after ‘Southern Charm’ firing and eviction lawsuit
BERKELEY COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA: Reality TV star Kathryn Dennis, who was fired from the Bravo show ‘Southern Charm’ earlier this year, has reportedly moved back in with her father after settling an eviction lawsuit. She has been sharing Instagram stories from her family’s home, Lewisfield Plantation, which was deemed controversial for its history. Reports suggested that more than 100 slaves were held on the plantation in 1835 and it allegedly has a slave cemetery. The property even appeared in a now-deleted scene on Season 3 of ‘Southern Charm.’
“She's back with her dad in Moncks Corner for now, I knew she would be,” sources told The Sun, adding, “The house is on the water and has a lot of land but it's a very old property and needs work doing on it. Her dad is the only one living there since her mom passed. Kathryn has a lot of issues and I hear he's pretty tired of it all but still supports her of course.” Sources continued, “It's so sad it's come to this, but she has nobody to blame but herself. I've been told she has a new manager, but she's been through so many, who knows what she's going to do next, she's never really had a real job."

Kathryn Dennis faced an eviction lawsuit
Dennis’ move to her paternal home reportedly came following the settlement of a lawsuit after being evicted from her posh rental at East Bay Apartments in Charleston, where units are priced between $1,640 and $2,725 a month, The Sun reported.
According to court documents, the TV star was asked to vacate her residence on March 8. The lawsuit has since been settled. Dennis was also reportedly selling her personal property on Facebook before moving to Lewisfield Plantation, Radar Online reported. She was reportedly in the process of moving home, her rep told the publication at the time.
Why was Kathryn Dennis not offered ‘Southern Charm’ Season 9 contract?
Earlier this year, multiple sources said that Dennis was fired from ‘Southern Charm’ and not offered a contract for Season 9 of the hit Bravo show. The update came amid reports of alleged bad behavior, including multiple “no-shows” and treating staffers poorly, sources told The US Sun. Insiders also claimed that Dennis showed up drunk on occasion after battling addiction issues in the past, prompting her friends to suggest saying that she should visit a rehab.
“I know Bravo didn't offer her a contract, but when you treat people poorly like she has they finally get sick of it,” sources reportedly said, adding, "She doesn't show up on time or show up at all during filming a lot. She treats people like they are beneath her. She can't stand anyone doing better or getting more attention than her.”
What is Kathryn Dennis’ net worth in 2023?
Dennis reportedly has a net worth of $800,000, according to Celebrity Net Worth. She earned the majority of her fortune from her work as a model and a reality TV star. A large part of her earnings came from ‘Southern Charm’ as the girlfriend of former state treasurer, Thomas Ravenel. The TV star also hails from an influential family.
Dennis is reportedly a descendant of John C Calhoun, the seventh Vice-President, and the granddaughter of Rembert C Dennis, one of the most influential legislators of his time who served nearly 50 years in the South Carolina House of Representatives and the South Carolina Senate.
Dennis reportedly earned $25,000 per episode on ‘Southern Charm'. She is also the brand ambassador for Gwynn's department store. Despite her rise in the reality TV industry, she faced major financial troubles after being fired from the Bravo show and turned to OnlyFans to make a living.
‘Hope this helps her get grounded’
The internet was quick to respond to Dennis' predicament. “I hope this helps her get grounded and back on her feet. I’ve always routed for her, Thomas destroyed her, the show certainly didn’t help her either,” one wrote. “She needs to focus on getting sober and getting custody of her kids back. I have no desire to see her on tv,” added another. One said, “Oh what a shame. I mean I couldn’t care less! She had a rich grandfather. I can’t imagine she doesn’t have a trust fund” while another added, “Too many demons in her life currently…I think stepping away will do her some good…perhaps.”
