Kathie Lee Gifford spends 'sweet time' with newborn grandson Finn in adorable snap: 'I'm blessed'

Former 'Today' co-host Kathie Lee Gifford's daughter, Cassidy, welcomes her first baby

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former 'Today' co-host Kathi Lee Gifford has once again become a grandmother as her daughter, Cassidy Gifford, gave birth to a lovely baby boy. The 69-year-old star decided to celebrate his birth through an Instagram post showing a rare sight of the Gifford child. 

Gifford is one proud grandma it seems as she was spotted spending the weekend bonding with her grandchild, Finn. Well, that's not the only happy moment in Gifford's life. She will soon be opening her doors to another grandchild as her son, Cody Gifford, is also expecting a child with his wife. 

Kathie Gifford shares rare photo of grandchild

Gifford frequently posts updates about her family members and pictures of her having fun with them on Instagram. The TV host often speaks of her blessings for her two children and the families they each have. Finn, the newborn son of her daughter Cassidy, received an equally warm greeting on her Instagram page.

The photo showed the grandmother with the infant all cozied up on a leather reclining chair. Gifford was seen cuddling Finn against her chest as she smiles softly at him while sporting a set of white and peach top and pants. "What a joy to spend sweet time with baby FINN," her caption reads, "I am the most blessed of women. It seems! Happy Fourth of July everybody."

The birth of Finn was first announced by his mother, Cassidy, through an Instagram post as well. She had the baby with her husband, Ben Weirda, the US Secretary of Education. Her post's caption said, "Our whole entire world. Finn Thomas Wierda 6.24.2023. We are so madly in love with you, buddy. Thank you, Lord for this most precious gift."

Kathie's time as a grandmother

This is not the first time Kathie is becoming a grandmother but the second while she awaits another grandchild who is due to be born this year. She first became a grandma when her son, Cody Gifford, had a child with his wife, Erika, named Frankie who was born last year in June. The couple is expecting to have their second baby sometime around the winter. They have been married for around three years.
