Katherine Schwarzenegger's spring-themed bridal shower is a star-studded celebration
Katherine Schwarzenegger's bridal shower, held at her journalist mother Maria Shriver's house in Los Angeles, was a low-key, intimate affair with only close friends and family, and was complete with cherry blossoms, live music, rustic wooden chairs and tables, and an elaborate lunch spread.
The author, who is the oldest child of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, was showered with love at the event as she and fiancé Chris Pratt moved one step closer to their upcoming wedding. The pair announced their engagement back in January, about seven months since they first went public with their relationship with a picnic date in June 2018.
Katherine's luncheon bridal shower was star-studded and the 100 odd guests came in outfits that matched with the soft pastel-hued natural spring theme of the event and were seen leaving with a bouquet of flowers, reported Daily Mail. Oprah Winfrey was spotted celebrating at the lavish private estate in a blush colored blazer and grey trousers and the media mogul had arrived with a huge present that matched her outfit.
Katherine stunned in a simple white tiered dress and her brunette tresses were swept back on one side with a statement clip, giving the bride-to-be a casual yet elegant look. The makeup was kept minimal with blushed cheeks, a contour and nude lips.
Katherine's best friends attended the bridal shower too. Television personality Whitney Port was seen in an emerald Cynthia Rowley dress with balloon sleeves and a figure-flattering ruching. The mini-length dress was in satin and went perfectly with the natural shades at the party. She completed the look with yellow framed shades and a basket bag.
Model Baskin Champion also made an appearance at the event, looking glam in an off-shoulder floral dress and nude makeup. Her sister Abby is currently dating Katherine's brother Patrick.
Pratt and Arnold Schwarzenegger stopped by after the celebrations were over. Arnold, who came suited up in black, was reportedly attending his son Joseph Baena’s college graduation in Malibu. Pratt wore a blue and white checkered button-up shirt and dress pants.
The date for the wedding has not been announced yet. Chris Pratt was earlier married to actress Anna Faris for nine years before they parted ways in 2018.
