Katharine McPhee and David Foster tie the knot in London, a year after their engagement
Actor-singer Katharine McPhee and musician David Foster got married in London on Friday. The 35-year-old McPhee and 69-year-old Foster got married a year after Foster proposed to his girlfriend in Anacapri in Italy. The wedding was held at the Church of Saint Yeghiche in South Kensington in the presence of 150 guests including family and close friends.
The bride looked gorgeous in a wedding gown by Zac Posen and Foster was dressed in a tuxedo by Stefano Ricci.
All of Foster's kids were present including his eldest daughter Amy who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and she is expected to undergo a double mastectomy soon. While this is McPhee's second marriage, it is Foster's fifth, the most recent being to 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Yolanda Hadid.
Ahead of the wedding, McPhee posted Instagram pictures and stories about how she was getting ready for the wedding. From beauty masks to everything that would help her glow on the big day, she kept her followers on the social media site updated.
One of the stories was captioned, "The secret to a calm and collected bride," and she added, "And maybe a little Xanax.”
McPhee also posted a tribute to her husband on Instagram, a video of her performing 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow', and she captioned this, "Exactly 13 years ago today my very first single, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, was released right after Idol. Today… I’m marrying the man who produced it. Life is full of beautiful coincidences, isn’t it? Thank you for taking me over the rainbow, David."
The couple have been linked together since May 2017, however, they have kept their private lives under wrap and denied commenting on their relationship. However, they were spotted at a dinner date at Nobu in Malibu leading to further speculation about their relationship. It wasn't until May 2018, that the two confirmed their relationship officially.
